You can twist all you want, i guess we can give gowon credit for the second Niger bridge that gej signed last year because the design process was done in the 70s.
I took u as an intelligent guy but you are leeting me down.
First,
The abuja to kaduna railway system built by gej. So the minister of transport should take the glory leaving non to gej who signed. The refinery stuff was signed by the head of state when buhari was a petroleum comissioner.
When buhari became the head of state, how many refinery did he award.
Meanwhile, the second niger bridge is with a new design cutting through undeveloped area of asaba nd anambra.

The Obasanjo that probed the PTF account who came out the certify Buhari as the only Public official in Nigeria. Though Buhari ran against him in 2003, he still maintained that Buhari is corrupt-free.... Hear him

"Muhammadu Buhari as a member of the SMC & as the head of the petroleum dept was by nature taciturn & introvert. But he took any work given to him very seriously & if he failed at whatever he did, it would not be because he did not put his best, in fact, his very best. He was as reliable as he was hard working & HONEST"- President Segun Obasanjo, In His Book "NOT MY WILL"

There is no other presidential candidate. We have a pseudo candidate (embezzling general) trying to recreate his demonic kingdom of 1983.

I just dey laff self.....
He was the head of state for 1 nd half years.

1. Show us the evidence that buhari signed the building of the refinery.
3. to whom should the glory be to; the head of state or the minister.
4. That means that every road built on lagos, the commissioner of work owes the glory.
5. At least with the knowledge he have as a petroleum minister, he should have awarded one petrol chemical industries.

That's naive.

I also thought same when I was say...13-15 yrs of age.

Its actually a very good idea. You prefer the transportation of refined petroleum products via tankers, putting pressure on our roads and infrastructures; or via pipelines that are easily traced and burst these days? At least, a pipeline know to be carrying crude is not as attractive as a pipeline carrying petrol.

And I've not even started on the economics as regards job creation- reducing the propensity for ppl to indulge in violence; sundry industries tied to the refinery springing up; the fact that we would be producing the products at lower costs thereby equalising the prices of the petrol and other distillates throughout the country.

Sometimes we get too bugged down in sentiments to see things clearly. But its ok, you keep on expanding your mind.

Don't stop learning.
Rubbish, in economics the first thing to consider in sitting an industry is the source of Raw material.

I am sure there is an intelligent point hidden under all this verbiage but I'll be damned if I can find it.
If you can't find that intelligent point then you may be dammed...

Someone was suggesting sending the refined products via pipelines and I ask, at what cost?

Which is more expensive?

1. Using one pipe to transport crude ( which isn't that attractive to bunkerers inland); or

2. Having several pipes, each transporting products ranging from gas to engine oil, needing a more complicated flow system and becoming a meal ticket for amateur and professional fuel thieves?

Many Nigerians like yourself know how to talk and argue more than think deeply.

For your sake I hope you won't be dammed.

Now, some are lapping up the fable that if Buhari comes in as President, corruption and embezzlement in high places would come to an end. But I think this is like the story of the child and Santa Clause. That reality does not exist now or in the future, because the reality of who Buhari is has been shown to us through his real actions, not by the pictures and images being put out there by his spin-doctors and uncritical supporters. Should I start with the scandal of the N2.8 billion NNPC money that got stolen under his watch as Petroleum Minister and head of NNPC in 1978? Let’s bear in mind that the value of that money in hard currency at the time was more than $3 billion. Under intense public pressure, the Shehu Shagari government, which shortly took over thereafter from the military, set up a Senate probe which traced the money to a London Midland Bank account belonging to Buhari from where the money again got missing. No less than a person of the then Senate Majority Leader and Chairman of the Senate probe panel, Dr Olusola Saraki revealed this in an interview with Vera Ifudu of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA). When Ifudu reported this, she was clandestinely sacked by the NTA, but the lady went to court and presented all the evidence and won in a case of wrongful dismissal. Saraki till his death never denied what he told the lady. In the end, they settled Ifudu with a big payout to buy her silence.

----------------------------------------------------------

Which one preceeded the other: NOT MY WILL or the probe? I hope you know that NOT MY WILL was published in 1990 and if PTF was probed it must have been after May 29, 1999 when Obasanjo became a civillian president.

Now, I hope you know that :
-Danjuma's impression of Obasanjo in 1999 is not the same in 2014

- Obasanjo's impression of Jonathan in 2007 is not the same in 2014
-Tinubu's inpression of Obanikoro in 1999 is not the same in 2014

Your point would have been valid if NOT MY WILL was written after the PTF probe (if any). Besides, Obasanjo in what you quoted was talking about the Buhari who worked under him. that is Buhari as a follower. He was not giving the opinion on Buhari as a Nigerian leader

In Obasanjo's latest book, MY WATCH, he never made reference to Buhari's HONESTY or otherwise. However, he made reference to Buhari as leader -- in comparism to Jonathan. He said that Buhari would offer strong leadership (I don't dispute this) but that he(Buhari)would be a bad manager of the economy (I don't dispute this either). If Obasanjo still had the impression that Buhari was still honest, he would have restated that observation in his latest memoir, MY WATCH. By not restating that, it means there is 'K-leg' there. Now, offering strong leadership does not mean the same with honesty. Obasanjo, Abacha and IBB all offered strong leadership. Did they offer honesty? You may answe that.

I think the mistake the Buharistans make is to sell Buhari with lies, attributing to him what he is not, what he can never be and what he can't do. Rather than sell him with so much lies, I think they can harp on what many people believe he can do that may not be disputable: Strong Leadership. That way, it makes more sense. But the more the criminal coupist is sold as MR PERFECT, SAINT, INCORRUPTIBLE, the more the sellers shoot themselve on the foot.
