Oil is trading below $60. What's the rationale for $65 budget? Optimism? Or you don't want to appear unprofessional as Sanusi was accused of due to differing figures?

How did we get here?
How can we allow Jonathan destroy this nation?
We are in Austerity measures, but only the capital expenditures were affect. The capital expenditures is what affects the Nigerian populace.
His initial budget was N4.8t, but its now N4.4t due to austerity measures, meaning he removed expenditures worth N400b.
But capital expenditure lost about N600b, due to his austerity measures, while the recurrent expenditure was not affected.
Why has Jonathan decided that its only we ( the masses) that will suffer due to fall in oil price.
Why can't he be bold enough to reduce the salaries of this politicians.
People please let's be wise. If we don't we will suffer it.
Last years budget had capital expenditures at figures in trillions, and we didn't see any serious capital projects.
This year the figure about half a trillion, and from what was stated, 70% of the capital project budget will be used for construction of buildings for ministries.
We have only about N120b for capital projects that will affect the masses.
What this means is, Nigerians don't expect road constructions, water, electricity, housing, rail roads etc next year from Jonathan administration.
PLEASE LETS BE WISE...

Dollar is $56 per barrel now and is not going to come up since qatar or UAE is selling at less than $4 to its asian neighbours and saudi is selling oil to fund and couterfund terrorism making them sell cheap oil and USA is already exploiting her shale oil and mighty russia is dropping the price of oil to woo buyers since she is not part of opec . God don catch Nigeria it now time will revive our manufacturing sector and that start with POWER

He actually sent the minister of finance to brief the National Assembly about the budget, something unprecedented in Nigeria before Jonathan. I bet my @ss he does not know what is on that budget. truly we have 5 presidents. #sendtheneandearthaltootuoke

Sidebar: Obasanjo always defended the budget before the National Assembly and boy he has no PhD and 'Dr' Jonathan sends mummy. #therewasacountry

Nice One Mr President.
Drop in budget at last...
My only worry is we have planned to fund the budget maximally with ND oil and gas.

Nigerians must not make the mistake of voting buhari in cos we don't need the ND distress from freedom fighters; in addition to BH menace up North.

My one cent!

Judging from the disparity between recurrent and capital expenditures profile, I could say this is a budget of consolidation.

Those Jonathan apologists don't reason at all. Don't you get it?

They just can't see anything wrong with whatever he does or says. They always look for some imaginary silver lining.
