"2+2=5" says Mr Synergy. It is in this light that this thread is meant to combine the experience of Chartered Stock Brokers with -and for- the efforts of those preparing for 2015 professional CIS Exams -myself included- towards an excellent result.

Re: Cis Candidates In The House by Newman3(op): 6:37am On Dec 25, 2014
Yes you can write the exam. The requirement for the Professional Exam is a minimum of HND or Bsc in any discipline. There are two levels in the CIS
Professional Examinations and there are
4
papers in each level. You will study the
same 4 papers in each level, in
level 1 you will be tested on your foundational /basic knowledge (with 100
Multiple Choice Questions [MCQs] in
each Paper in Level 1) and in Level 2,
in-depth knowledge and mastery of the
papers is expected as the exam format
in level 2, consists of some multiple choice questions, short essay
questions and practical oriented
questions/calculation/case studies.

Are you sure you can write 4 papers -12 courses - by March while preparation is yet to start.
I'm also not sure of the total cost. #52,500 is cost I know for now, if study of #29,000 is not compulsory.

Good day, now im in your shoes. How did the exam go? Any tips i need to know? was the certificate worth it?
theres a new certificate on the cis website: CSISS "Certified Securities and Investment Support Specialist" mainly for junior roles, im deliberating between this and cis, but im leaning towards cis cause its stronger but its harder

I studied bus. admin. in uni and im working remote in an investment startup as stock analyst, this is my only experience in finance.

Any advice 🙏
