What is more pleasant than having a Christmas celebration in Nigeria? But yet, due to promises made to my little ones, that's the promise of white (snow) Christmas, I chose to celebrate this year's Christmas with my family in (snow guaranteed) Latvia, as snow can not be guaranteed in Ireland nor the UK.
We are currently in the Eastern region of Latgale, and here are some instant photos taken with my cell phone.

The beauty of snow is the whitest thing that can be. The stains that you see on the snow are special salted-sand that are applied on the road and foot-path to reduce slippery surfaces

I don't understand Latvian, so i have no knowledge of what people say even though it is obviously clear that they often react to seeing a black me in a town where no black person lives. Latvian people are extremely shy in character, but yet, i can assure you that most of them are interested to have a friendly chat with you if they can speak English or if they have someone to translate for them

Yes, i am the one who often does the pulling of the "one horse open sleigh", and these are my two kids, the boy is Daniel who some of you are familiar with here: https://www.nairaland.com/793787/romance-story-pictures, and his little sister is Beya. Sometimes, Daniel wants to pull the little one as you can see in the second picture...

It may interests you to know that dogs do not have any problem sleeping in snow: Animals (in cold regions) are well adapted to cope with their environments with no difficulty
