I doubt if there is any other way around it. They could do it Street by Street. The only problem here is looting, most of those buildings are actually warehouses.

Op, if you dare go to obalende in Lagos island, you go fear fear ooo.

Meanwhile Lagos island still have some of the best roads as for as Nigeria is concerned, try visiting areas in vi, ikoyi, marina etc (though you will still see bad roads) but they have cool roads there. Obalende is that area of Lagos island I so much hate.

That is bad for Fashola and Tinubu but seriously what is EFCC waiting for, directly/indirectly PDP control EFCC , or EFCC are still waiting for PDP to take control of Lagos before opening case file for Fashola, Tinubu or APC at large so i expect EFCC to tackle Fashola, Tinubu in short all APC in Lagos for the embezzlement but if not , they are clean as SNOW .

I know people live there too, the government could stop commercial activities while reconstruction takes place. JUST A SUGGESTION. The drains, the sewer don't work, the residents needs to make sacrifices.
I have been in one of those buildings, the bath water from the bathroom was all over the passage on the 3rd floor. It's a mess

Well i am talking of the whole Lagos Island, i may not know those Street names but i sure know what i am talking about. Those one close to markets are used for storage and people live on the top floors, especially around idumagbo

The proccess of cleaning up Lagos will be very difficult, you wont believe it if I tell you that every local government on Lagos houses atleast two thick slums.

Got inner agidingbi, alausa and oregun of Ikeja LGA and cry.

Visit ijesha, aguda and abule ejika of surulere LGA and weep.

Stroll to ebute meta, oyingbo area of Lagos mainland LGA and lament.

Juncate to some area in lekki and ajah of ibeju lekkiLGA and whine.

Chill out to obalende axis of lagos island LGA and murmur.

The above listed LGAs are the best in Lagos but still harbour slums, but I think fashola has tried in his own little way, let's see what the next government will do.

In as much as i hate commenting on politics section due to sentiments, i must say that we nigerians are practically dirty. Take a look at those pictures once again, you can see that the gutter is littered with refuse, Is the gutter a refuse dump? I was passing by one day and i saw some women throwing bags of dirts inside the gutter, one of them even had to force the dirts right inside the gutter, with all these dont you know the gutter wont flow and hereby dirty water will litter all over the roads and in no time the road will wear off?
When i was young my daddy said buhari and tunde idiagbon instilled discipline to we nigerians, they made us inculcate the habit of queuing, also environmental sanitation was a MUST not to forget quickly their WAI(War Against Indiscipline) programme. We need someone like Buhari who will make us all sit down tight
