voiceofnigeria:
President Goodluck Jonathan today urged all Nigerians to be patient for another four or five years for the country to be better, Punch reports.

The president was speaking in today’s Sunday service at Christ Apostolic Church, Area 1, Durunmi, Abuja where he worshiped.

He assured Nigerians that his administration was working hard to put Nigeria on the right path but warned that the result of their efforts might not be visible immediately.

He opined that if the present achievements of his administration is sustained, Nigeria would become a better place in the next four or five years.

The president also urged Nigerians to continue to pray for his government with assurances that he and his team will continue to give their all in the discharge of their duties.

He said, “For me and members of my team, in spite of the challenges, we will continue to do our best.
“As a nation, we have not reached where we want to be, definitely not. But we are coming up with a number of policies.

“Those who are taking pain to look at what we are doing will agree with us that if we progress as a nation steadily in this manner, in the next four or five years, this country will be a better place.”

Just yesterday, Former president Ibrahim Babangida urged all Nigerians, who mean well for the country, to support the President.

Some should remind jonathan that some who can not pay tithe of 100naira when he received 1000naira can not afford to pay 1000naira when he or she receive more. So Mr Jona no more chance for u to gamble with our future

Why plead for more time ? You've had 6years to do whatever you could have done sir

And since you didn't use them enough to assure your smooth re-election,i can tell you nothing more would be done if you have an extra five years!

I now see reason why God can not call some of us to be a pastor because I can not imagine me giving him mic to address my congregation in the first place. We need to careful mixing politic with religion. I keep saying this:God's work is too demanding such that you don't have time for your family not to talk of man of God leaving his calling and be procuring ammunition and guns for government. All we need is CHANGE

what has Nairaland become ? Is it that the OP, just like all APC fans and Buhari is an illiterate ?

I have noted with lackadaisical disdain, that most fans of illiterate Buhari are illiterates. They cant even score a pass mark on basic reading and comprehension. The title of the thread is a far contrast to the content.

While I am enjoying a Merry Holiday, these nincompoops are still focused on politics.

The politician's children are getting married to each other and to billionaires kids, yet these APC losers wont let me have peace of mind.

APC nematodes, I want to assure all of you that Valentine 2015 election is already won. You know the winner already but are too afraid to voice it.

There is no way Nigerians will vote a coup plotter, a kidnapper of Umaru Dikko, a Boko Haram nominee mediator. A vagabond whose vituperation directly caused the death of NYSC members. A man who stated that he will reduce the price of KURUD OYEL. This Buhari is older than many of your grandfathers.

I‘ll not contest 2015 election – Jonathan
on february 01, 2011 at 1:41pm.
BY DANIEL IDONOR—
President Goodluck Jonathan,
yesterday, said he has no ambition to stay in office beyond
2015, assuring Nigerians in Diaspora that while he will not
contest the 2015 election, he will ensure that this year’s
election is free and fair.
The President promised that if voted in for the next four
years, he would ensure significant improvement in key
sectors of the economy — security, power, education, road,
health amongst others.
“Without security, there is no government. So it is not
debatable, it is something we have to addressed and we are
working towards that with vigour. But if I’m voted into power
within the next four years, the issue of power will become a
thing of the past. Four years is enough for anyone in power
to make significant improvement and if I can’t improve on
power within this period, it then means I cannot do anything
even if I am there for the next four years.”
Jonathan said this while interacting with Nigerians mainly
diplomats working in the United Nations Economic
Commission for Africa, UNECA, and the African Union AU in Addis-Ababa...
