@ jliusadura

I congratulate you. I pray for more blessings for you but I have some words of advice for you as well.

Yorubas say "bi isu eni ba jinna, a maa nda owo boo je ni". (literarily translated - you quietly enjoy the success of your hard work).

By coming to announce this your achievement on a public forum, I think it's lacking in wisdom. There are many ways to celebrate and give thanks to your Lord. Perhaps you've done that by going to church or mosque or whatever other place of worship you choose, that should have been enough with the house warming already.

Consider yourself favored by the Lord because what you have achieved in a very short time, many have being toiling day and night for many years but haven't still achieved it.

You surely have elderly people in your family, who were there when you started but are still not able to even feed well.

To survive in this life, you need wisdom because not many of those smart and knowledgeable people even survive till the end.

A word they say is enough for the wise.

Not to detract from the topic sha. The op lives in ibadan and y'all all know how much land could cost there. Let the op come try this same stunt in Abuja or Lagos. If yours a builder you'll know putting up the structure isn't the issue. Land is the most expensive part. This is a bungalow and you don't have to break the bank to do that.

So what is this supposed to mean? Does it take anything away from his being a landlord at such a young age?

@Jarus, tell them ooo
While others are spending theirs in clubs, phones, cars ,beer parlour every evening and loose girls, the op has a focus. He has built a house for himself at 31 and is getting ready to get married next year.

@kzine, no matter how expensive land is at abuja, there are still places that are cheap. Go to those cheap places and buy minimum of two plots, but make sure development is moving towards that side in that town. no land is in the bush.No matter how far it is from the developed place, development will still catch up with that place, say in less than 5years. Once the price appreciates to say like 2 to 3 milla, or to the amount that your house will cost, sell one plot and use thw money to build the other

I bought a plot for 450k early this year and was waiting for my usual 5years, but surprisingly, a lot odevelopments started entering dt side and that place is 1.2m now and no one wants to sell again. The place am building now, i bought it 5years ago. Now the place is btw 2.5 and 3milla. Planning is very key in life.

There is a colleague of mine, dts the investment she does. She looks at a town and checka the direction the development goes, she enters the bush and buys min of 6plots. Once the price reach 3milla, she sells 4 and uses the money to go further inside the bush. she keeps selling andbuying.

Thank you. I am not on nairaland to insult anybody, I am only here to voice out my concerns and the importance of changing the present situation in the country. Buhari/Osinbajo will definitely not put food on my table, but their national pragmatic policies in all the vital sectors in the country will no doubt create more jobs.

Don't be angry if I might have offended your sensibilities in anyway.. I am a responsible die-hard Buhari supporter, we just want to do things differently this time around, that's why our voices are already reaching all the nukes and crannies in the country.
