LRNZH:. She wasn't supposed to throw more lights on how Buhari should have written his Manifesto... . She's criticizing the manifesto and that's how it should be.... . Ofcourse.....her stand-points had crystal emphasis on the manifesto and so she really focused on the weakness of the manifesto... And the strength of the manifesto was the part she raise praises to Buhari's manifesto... . What's your headache? 2 Likes |

The problem with him is senility and docility that is associated with old age I recommend hospice or old people home Buhari should sit there and apc e rats should get a life seriously Happy new year 3 Likes |

The only english words this man comprehend in his islamic life are "war","kill", "bomb" and "destroy"..... Like I keep telling people...Buhari isn't a democrat and even when he's trying to fit in...he's not enjoying it... 3 Likes |

agabaI23: Lol... Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I believe your PDP/GEJ bias has clouded your sense of judgment. If the opposition (APC) has sensitive information, you all will accuse them of "sabotage" and "leaking sensitive information", especially when it comes to issues like Boko Haram as is in the OP. Is he supposed to publish in detail how he intends to stop their insurgency? Wouldn't that be a whole new level of stupidity? Did the Republicans know when the American Marines were going to take out Osama bin Laden? IMHO, any government that cannot keep classified information classified is grossly incompetent. At least the PDP/GEJ administration is doing a fairly good job in this aspect. 1 Like |

[quote author=WhiteTechnology post=29394174]Buhari is not the messiah As the author said Buhari's plan did not create a platform for citizens contribution If Buhari thinks we would accept the era of monkey(ND) dey work baboon(Arewa) they chop based on our oil wealth, then he is in for a rude and brute shock SW youths This below is what you guys need and not VP position 1) Resource Control 2) Fiscal Federalism 3) Privatization 4) Political Federalism 5) Decentralization of Nigeria 6) Restructuring of Nigeria 6) Institutions giving detail account of their financial/other activities to the public through their websites/panels for public scrutiny every 3months. Which are the fastest route to I) economic diversification, ii) citizenry prosperity iii) political stability iv) reduce corruption These 7 points are the basis of True Federalism which can help Nigeria become a Super Power and a first world Nation. Where is GEJ's manifesto? I think we would add more value to the society if we compare GEJ and GMB's manifestos. There is no perfect document, the fairest thing we can do is to compare the manifestos of the main alternatives we have. 3 Likes |

This is something intelligent people have been asking the cattle rearer buhari, his showbiz pastor vp and his jaguda party. All the change and promises they are shouting all over, how do they intend to carry it out. Enough of promises ,it is time for boko buhari to sell, explain his plans to nigerians . We want to be convinced he isn't as clueless as we are seeing him. Nigerians should stop voting for politicians with empty big promises but for people who are able to lay out their plans for the people in simple layman language. You can't fool nigerians by sitting down in keke marwa or brt buses .we know once they get into office they will change . |

Thanks to the poster. I have wanted to know what Buhari's plan would be as regards true federalism or confederation, state police, privatization of all govt businesses eg the power sector, refineries etc. I already know he will be real serious about fighting corruption and he would be strong on security issues. I believe that govt should leave the running of business to the private sector. He needs to assemble a competent economic team because I believe he is weak in that area. He needs the likes of Soludo on his economic team. And he needs to assure Nigerians that he will not be tribalistic as most northern leaders have been in the past. Enlightened Nigerians want the good transformation programs of the Jonathan administration to continue. We remember how Yaradua grounded every economic program Obasanjo started because of tribal sentiment and foolishness. Buhari needs to assure that this will not be the case with him. And he needs to explain why he, together with Ibb and Abdulsalami, declared few yrs ago that a confirmed thief like Sani Abacha is not corrupt. Did he say that because of tribal sentiment which is typical of Nigerians (solidarity with a fellow northerner against a perceived anti notherner Obj then). The present administration has disappointed but we need a better alternative. |

Williamso:. Yes sirree... . The essence of a manifesto was to put a detail of his goals and objectives....in few sentences..he could've explained how he'd tackle insurgency... . Let me ask you... If I come to ur house and tell you that I can eliminate poverty from ur family forever...won't you expect me to explain how i'll go about it? Will you just give me a go-ahead...without a clue? |
Re: The Trouble With The Buhari Manifesto BY ABIMBOLA ADELAKUN by ibisko04: 6:14pm On Jan 01, 2015 |
This manifesto is just like a drawing in an engineering projects. Many times you go back to drawing board as the projects progress. No matter how perfect a manifesto look, it's just a projection of what you wish you are going to do. The reality on ground will dictate major decisions. Like the writer has rightly observed, good intentions are imbedded in the manifesto. Buhari is not going to run one man government, more ideas will be tolerated. One thing about manifesto is that you have something to start with. It doesn't means that all your program start and end in it. |

Sambo’s office gets N463.5m; SGF’s, N6.9bn N131.9 million for fuel, lubricants. State House will spend N6.5 billion repairs/maintenance of buildings, which will gulp N826.6 million purchase of canteen/kitchen equipment, N303.9 million; purchase of medical equipment, N174 million provision of meals, N174.5 million. maintenance of residential office and residential buil-dings in the State House will cost the nation N913.5 million, N131.9 million will be used for fuel and lubricants within the financial year. The Presidency has also set aside N202 million for stationary N223 million for staff uniforms and other clothings. The Office of the Vice President is expected to spend N21.6 million on fuel; N12.7 million on generators; N11.5 on meals/refreshments and N15 million on honorarium within the year. state-house-operations. When you add 826,6 billion Naira they told us is for repair/maintenance of buildings and the 913.5 million Naira they said is for maintenance for residential office and residential buildings, you have a total of 1,740.1 (ONE BILLION SEVEN HUNDRED AND FOURTY MILLION, ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND NAIRA) for the repair of presidential building that they spent billions on last year. Wait a minute, which one be RESIDENTIAL OFFICE AGAIN? In the face of dwindling economy when the nation is indebted to their civil servants for months, the government is still spending some 303.9 million Naira to buy spoons, plates, pots, cattles and knives. Is our Naira to useless that we have to spend 202 milion Naira on stationaries? The presidency will also spend the sum of 223 million Naira for staff uniforms. TOBBY777 is worried about this, how many staffs are in the presidency? What is the cost of one uniform? Out of the 6.5 billion Naira the presidency will be wasting this year, we are told that 5.3 billion Naira of it is for staff salaries. I knwo some states with a very high civil servants rates are paying as much as 4 billion Naira a month. How many staffs do we have in the presidency that is gulping some 5.3 bilion Naira annually as salaries? Too many questions begging for answer. Jonathan online supporters told us to be grateful to him for turning us to a nation of light as there is light in every corner of the country. I honestly think if there is light, giving the nature of our leaders it is supposed to start from them, but the office of the vice president will be spending some 12.7 milion Naira on GENERATOR in 2015. A nation with light does not need generator. This is another budget of slavery which will not take the Nigeria people any where. Oil price has fallen to 58 dollars as at yesterday and there are fears that the price might fall below. It is a national embarrassment that in the midst of harsh economic reality on ground those who styled themselves leaders are still wallowing in their wastefulness. Nigerians needs to take their destinies in their hand. Nigerians needs to make use of this GOD givern opportunity again by making their votes counts. THE DECISION WE TAKE TODAY WILL LIBERATE OR IMPRISON US TOMORROW. |

delvinmaya: Another point i want to make is that, it doesn't just take a detailed plan to create an upward change in anything but also the will power to get the necessary things done. We can see Fashola doing just that in Lagos State, cos he has the will power. Well back to Buhari's manifesto, i find solace in the fact that not everyone can wake up at the same time. Some people wake up 45years earlier, while others wake up 40 years later. 1 Like |

Donkaz: No. A good writer will bring out real issues and not petty things. She should be knowledgeable enough to know that manifestos don't contain execution details. Talking about pronouns used in a manifesto only gives her away as a compromised writer. I'm sure she will be replied duly by many of her readers. Just watch out! |

does buhari know how many years it takes to budget for and build a power plant, then connect it to the grid 24/7 electricity my foot, countries that have good electricity used several years to build their infrastructure and they did not have project dismantling leaders like buhari as head of government |
