I was listening to a radio station with the topic of discourse as "should you always have 'back up' plan guy/girl? ….Yes/No….What are your thoughts?"

What are your views family? I couldn't bring myself to believe the comments of some contributors, over to you.

If by back up plan you mean having friends of the opposite sex whom you have no romantic relationship with but like them all the same, then I see no harm in it if one is careful not to allow it compromise his or her current relationship.

How many back up plans does one intend to have? Any one who got back up plan can be as well regarded as single, coz at the end of the day he/she might end up losing both due to divided attention. It's meant to be one guy/girl at a time till the relationship pack up. There are a whole lot of pretty girls and cute guys out there so when you start going for a back up there will be no limit to how many you may end up having. Work on your relationship and do everything possible and you will have no reason for so called back up plans

For me, no. I look out for trustworthy persons. If she betrays it, so be it. Backup na waste of energy for what you can get from one person, if you do your homework well. I no get power to dey share attention.

Anyone that has a backup plan doesn't truly love his/her GF/BF or trust him/her. And once there's lack of trust, the relationship is bound to crash.

If I love and trust a girl I wanna call my own, I don't need a backup plan. If the relationships packs up, I move on and find another girl.
