I am ectomorphic and I have a high metabolism rate, which means I don't put on weight , easily! Please recommend Nigerian foods with high calories. I am tired of being thin and I want to change that! Please drop your suggestions and possible amount of calories.

Focus on hefty foods like
Drinks— Try protein shakes, juices or whole milk. Avoid diet sodas.
Breads — Hearty and dense breads, such as whole wheat, oat bran, pumpernickel
and rye, are more nutritious than white bread. Cut thick slices and spread generously with
peanut butter, jam, honey, hummus, or cream cheese.

Vegetables — Look for starchy vegetables (potatoes, peas, corn, carrots, winter squash,
beets). Avoid vegetables that are mostly water (broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini, green beans,
cucumbers).

Fruit — Choose dense fruit (bananas, pears, apples, pineapple, dried fruit) over watery
fruit (oranges, peaches, plums, berries, watermelon).

FOCUS ON FOOD TIMING
Next, don't let yourself be distracted during the day. You have to eat and eat frequently - once
every 2-3 hours would be your best bet if you really struggle to get those calories in.

Learn to wake up by 1-3am and eat probably thick egusi soup or the groundnut version with fufu or pounded yam. Your pattern- eat, sleep and repeat and if symptoms persists after one week consult Ifa.

eat good food like semo with good vegetable soup,rice with orisirisi,poundo with edikankong soup,akpu with correct okro soup and above all sleep well.

Was almost creating the same topic when I saw this, am also having d same problem, av got a weight of mere 46kg for almost four years now so I need advice like Chuksemi to increase my weight well enough

Hit the gym and lift some weights, along with squats for legs and all.

Muscle gain is better than gaining fat.

@chuksemi, we are in the same shoes oo. Ve always been thin and weighing 45kg. The best way for you to gain weight faster is by taking multivitamins and apetite inducing pills.. It worked for me

Op, what matters is how healthy you are, not how much you weigh. Eat balanced diet and take lots of water. That ur shape, e get guys wey dey find am cheesy

Skip breakfast, by noon u will be so hungry that u will end up eating a large portion. Eat garri n soup as dinner and have it with coke. Drink loads of water, although it is water weight it will help keep ur skin glowing. So u don't only add weight but with a fine skin that makes u loook healthy.
