Because first we killed shekau, then we did not. Then we signed peace with him then we did not. Meanwhile we first did not want to kill him cause he was our brother but we now really really want to kill him. |

killjoy:The man accepted that title. Please think of a 57 year old man who goes in front of a church crowd to utter the following statements; ..."so many advisers, you meet them and they give you contradictory and confusing advice". You listen.to this and ask yourself, was this guy expecting every adviser to say the same thing as the other one has said. Another example is this statement to a simple Question. Interviewer: Where are the Chibok girls? President: I don't know where the girls are but if the parents come forward with pictures we can start looking for them. (This was after 14 days the girls were kidnapped) |

Cluelessness is when you kill Shekau about six times and he keeps popping up on videos. Then a few Hausa boys 419 a complete DSS, NIA, DIA, DMI pretending they were in contact with Boko Haram and were ready to release the girls. Serious Cluelessness is when you unilaterally declare ceasefire based on the 'jobbing' of those Hausa boys. Incurable Cluelessness then is when BH now kills a further 300 people or more during the fake ceasefire and you a whole president yourself then takes a disgraceful trip to Chad on the matter yet the Hausa boys chopped your money, more people died and the girls still did not come back. |

gbaskipro:If you vote PDP enmasse in February it won't surprise the world. They already take the black race as the basket case of God's creation. A president who could not find the girls would not even be presented again by his party. Black people do things in an.alternate universe where the dumbest, laziest and the emptiest are rewarded. That is why a governorship candidate is threatening that I should cowardly give my vote for Clueless because Tom Polo who by the way is completely uneducated will shut off the oil supply that same clueless president paid him N200bn over four years to him.to protect and even bought naval ships for. |

Honestly, you are clueless not have seen anything clueless about him. Other than just aiming to make FP with a lame post have you as a Nigerian taking time to see. The constitutional roles of Nigeria's president; how well has GEJ applied thoose roles; have you done a comparative analysis of his actions and inactions with that of other leaders of his class around Africa and the world? You don't just come here with an empty head trying to waste ppls time on what is now a " notorious public fact" that our president is clueless. To be clueless is to be lacking in ideas and also an inability to identify ideas by other ppl on how to move from one stage in an endeavor to another. GEJ doesn't know where Nigeria is at the moment and also doesn't know where Nigeria should be going to next interms of socio - political and economic life as a nation. |

It gets me angry when ppl come online to touch on ppls emotions. It's a known fact that a lot of ppl on nairaland are beneficiaries of this corrupt system. Do we expect them to see anything wrong with the system; or is somebody telling me friends and families of the ruling class in Nigeria are not NLanders? Why don't you take the pains and agony of the vast majority of fellow citizens back to ruling class folks and try to convince them to change their ways and make life worthy of living for everybody God created as Nigerian. It's our commonwealth and it's now almost like a curse. The Gift and the Curse is how I now see our resources just Becouse of a wicked aquisitional few. Is our president not aware of the economic dualism in Nigeria? Enriching the rich the more. When my ppl finaly unite in poverty and deprivation a Revolution will be born and it will consume both the rich and the poor and then the survivors will shape things up . It's so so avoidable. What a wicked nation. |

Flets:The point is proven by your own words on the bolded. If you were him, you would not make such a statement. Why? Because you are smart maybe and knows the implications and probably that can be twisted against you. Why did he make such statement which you admitted that you wouldn't? Because he is totally CLUELESS! Your point 2& 3 are probably the most naive justification to cluelessness. Gentleness, meekness, loyalty and abiding by the rule of law can never be equated to cluelessness. Jonathan was loyal to his boss and he strictly abided by the rule of law by not usurping power when the president has not been officially declared incapacitated. Sometimes you lot sound like you've missed the military regime alot where everything is forcefully done with impunity. We prayed to get out of military rule and GEJ is the true embodiement of what democracy should look like and we need to start getting used to it.Being gentle has nothing to do with clueless. Chinua Achebe is one of the gentliest person one could meet, but have you heard of anyone, even his enemies calling him clueless? Jonathan is so clueless, the northern power gang showed him a lifeless Yar Adua and he came and told us he is getting better. I keep saying it that he might be the first Nigeria president to be sent to jail because he will be so clueless as to know how the others before him covers their tracks. Mark my word. It gets me angry when ppl come online to touch on ppls emotions. It's a known fact that a lot of ppl on nairaland are beneficiaries of this corrupt system. Do we expect them to see anything wrong with the system; or is somebody telling me friends and families of the ruling class in Nigeria are not NLanders?Being angry doesn't solve anything. Why are you angry when you are comfortable a possible four more years of ineptness of a party and their corrupt clueless leaders doing the same very thing for the the last16 years? You are the one that cannot see that Jonathan is not a leader, anyone can see it, if they are honest with themselves. Allowing petty crooks to hijack his government. Hiring FFK of all people to run your campaign is a red hot cluelessness. The fight against insurgents was way on before the chibok incidents. I am not sure where you got the info that he considered it hoax. Insinuations and rumours does not always pass as reality. However, the questions around the chibok incident have continued to seek answers not just by Nigerian public but also by international observers because alot of things dont add up.It seems that you had been holidaying on the moon. If not, it was a common knowledge that Jonathan and his sidekicks believed that Chibok was a hoax. Godswill Akpabio came out of a meeting with him at Aso Rock said it before the world media that it was hoax. Kema Chikwe came out too and repeated the same after meeting Jonathan. They demanded to see pictures/DNA evidence of the victims etc. Do you want me to go on? How can he not be clueless, when he declared a huge part of the territory that he governs as a no go area for him? What sort of confidence does that give to the armed forces that are fighting without needed weapon, when your own C-in-C does that? When a U.S president can fly into Iraq or Afghanistan in the middle of war, just to support his troops and Jonathan were inviting the victim to Aso Rocks to see his wife, who try to cry with eye glasses still on. 'America will know'... Probably not the best statement for a learned environment but perfect for the context and audience. . Do you mind telling mw what us clueless about that statement without emotions? You said it yourself again. Probably not the best statement. That is the clueless their for you. When the head of a sovereign state stated that the authenticity of a serious national security issue in his domain is measured only if another sovereign nation knows about it. That's just dumb. I wanted to hide when he said it. How clueless can one get after that? You can see that I don't do emotion, just hard facts. Unfortunately we turn blind eyes to the things that matter and focus on irrelevant stuffs just to score cheap political points.Where do I start on this one? Ok. Yes, we turn blind eyes on things that matters like, why over $20 billion was spent on power and nothing changed and he ended up selling off public asset to the same bunch of people stealing public money but are more keen on Buhari's certificate? FOI or free and fair elections is not an achievement, it's a democratic rights made possible through the legislative process and willingness to implement the electoral Act by Jega and his team respectively (,never mind Anambra Gubernatorial election). Babangida probably oversaw the most free election in the history of Nigeria, was it down to him? No! It was purely down to Humphrey Nwosu. How much belief does Jonathan has on the FOI, when he claimed that he doesn't give a damned about declaring his asset as the leadeing public servant? Tell me how that was not clueless? Nigeria is awashed with so many already glorified secondary schools called universities, so why build more when you cannot maintain or equip the hundreds of the sub standard ones? You cannot pay their lecturers, you are graduating so many semi illiterates and armed robbers? Nigeria need first class modern refineries , not your oil and gas policy geared tailored towards making few political sidekicks overnight billionaires, after 16 years of $100 average crudes sales and they are still importing refined crude. That's called clueless. Laziness is Nigeria's biggest problem. We will still complain about the next president after GEJ yet no plans for the future.I agree with you that Nigerians are lazy. Mainly intellectual laziness, your are doing exactly that now. Supporting mediocrity in the name of some sort of loyalty. Do I think that Buhari is the answer? Maybe be not, but for the fact that you seriously considered Jonathan as a signal for a future, shows that you are probably more clueless than him. |

its actually very simple. Nigerians voted massively for jona, he has failed, the next logical thing is to vote him out and give someone else a chance. The incoming new person knowin how he came in will sit up and work. And if he fails, we vote him out too. The important thing is lets establish a pattern of rewardin good performce and punishib failure. |

Eziachi:Just like many Nigerians who fell for easy way out.. you fall for the bait trying to patronize me. Stick to the topic, I gave my honest view about it but I repeat that Stealing is not corruption. The fact that the opposition have attempted to score cheap political points off it does not make it a wrong statement. If your grandkid steals a candy, do you spank him for being corrupt?, why the fuss trying to force-fit stealing to equal corruption just to sound politically corrupt. Again..... Stealing is not corruption and if in need to further clarifications on this one.. get your dictionary Eziachi:You still don't get it, do you?. Chinua Achebe is not a politician otherwise an adjective would still been assigned to him. I have continually told you I don't deal on rumours based on opposition hearsay... provide a link where GEJ saw lifeless yaradua and told us he was getting better. GEJ followed the rule of law and he ascended the presidency when the time was right. If he usurped power like you are insinuating, you will still be here calling him a dictator. GEJ has shown Nigerians what democracy entails through following the rule of law, signing the FOI bill and freedom of speech. On your jail story, wait till he leaves in 2019..... there are no tracks to cover. Eziachi:Firstly, not sure who made the comment you quoted cos it was not me. However, let me state that am discussing GEJ and not PDP. Of the 16 years you referenced under PDP, OBJ ran 8 horrible years and today is the chief pilot of the APC you present as an alternative. You claim GEJ is not a leader ... no issues but that is the reason for the discourse. You have to prove it otherwise your statement goes down as just rants and emotions. FFK is available for hire, he was originally hired by APC (you had no issues with that) and now he is with PDP (and all hell is let loose). He understands APC better than most as he was part of them.. he is best for the hatchet job. Now, stick to the topic Eziachi:You are still on with rants and emotions. Let me repeat myself for emphasis. Insinuations and rumors does not always pass as reality. However, the questions around the chibok incident have continued to seek answers not just by Nigerian public but also by international observers because a lot of things don't add up. When the presidency and the military seek answers... it does not equate considering it hoax rather it seeks an end to the menace. Till date, you and me have no full details about the chibok incident. I guess you expect GEJ to force himself down the disturbed territories against the advise of the intelligence agencies. The objective/ focus of the fight is to end terrorism in Nigeria.... The opposition's rants are just mere distractions. Eziachi:Again, you are patronizing me. Stick to the topic and I maintained that 'America will know' is not a wrong statement. You are getting a lot of things muddled up and introducing some lies too. You said 'issue in his domain is measured only if another sovereign nation knows about it' and that is very untrue. He has already said that there is no way $20billion can be missing from Nigerian coffers that the Nigerian economy would not feel it. He only illustrated by saying that America will know. And besides, be careful to use the words sovereign so loosely here because the currency in question belongs to another sovereign nation and not Nigerian naira. Besides, only a dummy would believe that $20billion =3.6 trillion naira which is equivalent of Nigeria's total annual budget can get missing and the economy continues unaffected. Considering the foregoing, I can categorically say you lack facts but possess plenty emotions Eziachi:This is where I have to call you to order. Did you just say Free and fair elections and FOI are not democratic achievements. Did you really mean to say that or it was an error? Do you have an idea that the reason you think you can vote out the incumbent is because of what you denied calling an achievement. What did you say to Obj when our elections were mere formalities? GEJ handed over power to the people through fair elections and you call it a non-achievement? Are you aware the reason you think you know about corruption in the system is because same GEJ signed the FOI bill that Obj refused signing all through his 8yrs? Obj claimed he spent $16billion buying gas turbines of outdated technology which are still sitting at Apapa as we speak. So when you say $20billion was spent on power... be explicit enough to tell us who spent what. The power sector is best in the hands of the private sector. The next set of competitiors from Canada, Norway and China are to be introduced in 2016 to give the current investors a good run for their money. More than ever, Nigeria power sector is on the path of recovery in the hands on the people to whom its business. its going to take time, funds and facilities but constant power is a certainty in the near term Eziachi:GEJ declared his asset as a vice president and has remained in active service since then within the presidency. You don't expect him to keep declaring his asset every year just because the opposition demands so. If he actually did, you lot will still refer to him as clueless. Eziachi:The recipients of the new universities are most grateful. The alamajiri schools will make our northern brethren more resourceful and not vulnerable to be recruited into terrorism. GEJ promised the universities 1.2 trillion to equip the universities and 200 billion has been released already. The 30 years rot in the education sector cannot disappear in 4 years. Key thing is the sector is getting the attention it deserves Eziachi:The presence of subsidy has stopped investors from investing in the down stream sector Nigeria. In less than one year after subsidy removal, I expect a minimum of 5 functional private refining stations in Nigeria. There are off the shelf refining modules that could be deployed immediately by investors. While laying of pipeline is ongoing to transport crude and finished products…. Use of road tankers can be deployed in the interim. At that time, we can push the govt to subsidize the cost of crude to the local refineries which will result in lower product prices at the pump (probably less than 97naira per litre)… That is the issue based politics we ought to play. The petro-chemical industry is a massive market on its own capable of producing raw materials for manufacturing industries. At the moment, Indorama (Former Eleme Petrochemical Industry) is the only major petrochemical industry. I expect an exponential growth in the number of petrochemical industries in Nigeria once we start have the functional private refineries in-country. The business opportunities and employment potentials of the downstream is massive. All that is required is TAKE AWAY THE FUEL SUBSIDY and this government is committed to doing this. This period of low global crude prices is the best time to remove the subsidy as the price of refined in the international market is almost equal to the current pump prices in Nigeria. And private investors can rush up their refineries before the global crude prices stabilizes and starts increasing again. Unfortunately, if subsidy is removed before the elections, politicians in the opposition will play on the emotions of naïve and illiterate Nigerians which represents about 70% of the voting population….. As such it has to be suspended till after the elections. Eziachi:You are just a typical Nigerian who call names, complain and refuse to think. You have complained about all presidents and you will definitely complain about the next. However, your complaints have never fixed Nigeria's problem. The Future is of Nigeria is brighter than ever with the policies put in place by thus government. Nigerians seek short term benefits and quick fixes with no eye for the future. GEJ has led a govt of the future but we are not used to it so we judge his performance on the near term results only. Our biggest problem is illiteracy. |
