"APC=ape is he"....Buhari is power hungry...relentless in the pursuit of one seat...many failed trials ..still trying.. really ,if God saw anything good in him,he would have won one...but I don't think he has anything positive to offer...he is obviously one of the 'behind the scene' barbarians that made GEJ's tenure this messy...it would be much easier to stop what he started, that's the change he's talking about...this man I can never acknowledge as my president.. if Gej can't fight the enemy waves, then maybe God will pick His man...Buhari is never that man.....I know what good GEJ would have done had it not been for the ones against him..people say he is behind boko haram..that is a very stupid thought that should have died in the mind...how can he be behind something that makes his own very tenure as messed up as it is?... |

Head of State Major-General Buhari was selected as Head of State to lead the country by middle and high- ranking military officers after a successful military coup d'etat that overthrew civilian President Shehu Shagari on December 31, 1983. At the time, Buhari was head of the Third Armored Division of Jos.[12] Buhari was appointed Head of State and Commander-in- Chief of the Armed Forces, and Tunde Idiagbon was appointed Chief of General Staff (the de facto No. 2 in the administration). Buhari justified the military's seizure of power by castigating the civilian government as hopelessly corrupt, and his administration subsequently initiated a public campaign against indiscipline known as "War Against Indiscipline" (WAI). This policy won him national and universal applause, as a result of its effectiveness. [13] Economic Policy In order to reform the economy, as Head of State, Buhari started to rebuild the nation's social-political and economic systems, along the realities of Nigeria's austere economic conditions. The rebuilding included removing or cutting back the excesses in national expenditure, obliterate or remove completely corruption from the nation's social ethics, shifting from mainly public sector employment to self-employment. Buhari also encouraged import substitution industrialisation based to a great extent on the use of local materials and he tightened importation. [14] On 7 May 1984, Buhari announce publicly for the first time his administration's 1984 National Budget. The budget had in it:: A temporary ban on recruiting federal public sector workers Raising of Interest rates Halting Capital Projects Prohibition of borrowing by State governments 15 percent cut from Shagari's 1983 Budget Realignment of import duties Reducing the balance of payment deficit by cutting imports It also gave priority to the importation of raw materials and spare parts that were needed for agriculture and industry. Other economic measures by Buhari took the form of counter trade, currency change, price reduction of goods and services. Foreign Policy Buhari's Military government continued largely with the foreign policy they inherited from Shehu Shagari . In January 1984, in his new year broadcast speech, Buhari stated that he would maintain and enhance diplomatic relations with all countries and international organisations such as the OAU, UN, OPEC, ECOWAS and the Commonwealth of Nations. He also stated that he would honour all treaty obligations entered into by previous governments, which he did. Buhari's foreign policy also focused on Africa, mostly Nigeria's Neighbours due to financial commitments. [15] THIS IS MY MAN |

Thank you bro, that guy is an example of people who never wish Nigeria well. Going back to history, this country has been ruled by both xtian and Muslims who put faith aside whenever they intend to share our wealth. Don't allow politicians to push u against each other.i don't live in Nigeria but always wish Nigeria well as I represent Nigeria anywhere I go. May the best candidate win come Feb 14th. demelza: |

BasseyJ:But the truth should be told . GEJ did not polarised the nation instead the born to rule did . They are not allowing Jonathan to rule because of where he comes from . They never believed that power will shift to South South hence they started fighting him and the country appeared polarised . The minorities has been supporting the born to rule for ages with no trouble but now power has gone to where it was not expected to go hence polarisation . if their own is in charge like Obj then the country will seem united . the country belong to us all . GEJ has opened our eyes now we know |

Makks777:They want: 1. Distract the attention of Nigerians from Bad governance and looting. 2. Fighting Boko-haram is now the most lucrative sector of the economy second to oil sector. We are directing our budget to boko-haram, we are still seeking to burrow more to fight boko-haram..are we fighting world war? Yet our military guys are still ill-equiped. 3. They want to label the opposition as terrorist and divide the nation. Open your common sense |

Remember Nigerians... Let nobody use religion to deceive you. CHristian or Muslim, we are all Nigerians. If Nigeria face hardship, it will affect both Christians and muslims. They told us in churches 4 years ago to vote Jonathan because he is a christian, he had no shoe, he is youthful. Has he done anything to improve the life of Christians (Major voters) talk-less of the general masses? Even a war Turn Uganda has 24 ours electricity. And we are giant of Africa. WHy is electricity becoming impossible or rocket science in Nigeria? My brethren, it is corruption jare. Corruption gives birth to: i. Insecurity (Boko-Haram) ii. Bad economy (when people are looting our treasury) iii. Injustice (Judicial scam as can be seen in Alamesiya, James Ibori, Al-Mustapha and others freed from prison) iv. Global Image (No country takes us serious again. They see us criminals) I dont trust both Buhari and Jonathan, but we have to face 2 evils now and decide which one can be managed. We have seen what GEJ is capable of for 6 years. He has successfully put Nigerian in a sink hole. I am not supporting any of the 2 candidates. But we have to weigh our options. 1. Do we want to continue like this? 2. Do we think we deserve better ? These are the 2 choices facing us? But I think we deserve electricity! |

Dear APCians, why u people are trying to manuplat yourselves into a positions of leaders without having the characteristics of a leader? Cos d way u guys talk doesn't look matured enough to someone who want to govern or lead the Nation to a greater high. |
| Re: Jonathan Shedding Crocodile Tears After Polarizing Nigerians – APC by iconaus: 7:43am On Jan 09, 2015 |
MrTeymee:GEJ never started it . They never wanted him in power because of his root . Nigeria has never been united only that some part of this countryhas been playing mumu allowing the born to rule to control this countries . but it appears that the control is stripping through their fingers hence they started making trouble using boko haram and applying religious and tribal sentiments. |

| Re: Jonathan Shedding Crocodile Tears After Polarizing Nigerians – APC by Nobody: 7:44am On Jan 09, 2015 |
most of those canvasing for Gej are too young to even know what happened in the time ot buhari. GEJ knows this and this is why he is focussing on d young voters because he knows they no longer have a culture of reading qnd only focus on entertainment and all that so he is working on their ignorance. But if these same young could just read up then all would be clear to them. Buhari in 2yrs of his rule brought Nigeria to world envy and acclaim and sanitized the rot in our system but GEJ with 6yrs has just taken us 20yrs backward to the rot we came out of. Any sane government would and should first tackle corruption. its like embarking on a building project. U first clear the debris and make sure ur construction site is stable otherwise anything built there would soo expose the foundational errors. Buhari is on the right track. Gej said buharis agenda is to arrest corrupt persons and display them on television and I say this is laudable and very key to fighting corruption except for thosr who have something to hide like GEJ and his goons. Nigerians have been known to be smart people worldwide and its high time we really began using our heads. The Nigeria of today is it the Nigeria we want? If Nigeria was to be a company which it is in a sense is this the way we want to run it? If the answer is no then stakeholders and board members have a right to remove the CEO and opt for a better option. We are the laughingstock of all nations even those countries who couldnt raise their heads in our presence now do so with impunity. Why? We brought it upon ourselves via our tribal and ethnic sentimentality. We see black and call it red. From our airport authorities to our border foot soldiers, from the ministries to the classrooms corruption runs wild and all some can only say is GEJ TILL 2019? Amazing!!! No purpose, no desire, no projections! ! As for me who witnessed Buharis time in power and now this, the choice made itself known to me simply by comparison and I choose CHANGE! Buhari to me represents SANITY, ACCOUNTABILITY, AND HOPE. If u love yourself and ur kids be they unborn then u would reason as I do and make Nigeria a place they would be proud of. BUHARI U HAD MY VOTE IN 2011 AND U HAVE IT AGAIN IN 2015. WE WILL MAKE IT WORK! |

Makks777:My conscience has never been for sale and I vote for character and not party. Even if he lost in 2011 I voted for him and give or take he wins or looses in 2015 he still will get my vote. This is not a lottery where u play by odds...This is life for most. This is deciding for generations who are yet tugging on their mothers breasts and scribbling with their crayons. HE STILL HAS MY VOTE. |
