Hello visaofficer, nvc have informed me that my documents are complete and will inform me on the date of interview. How soon do u think I can be scheduled for my immigrant visa ffiled by my husband?

My guess is March, as NVC has already scheduled the February cases.

Phew, that's a relief! Thanks so much VO! I had already prepared a form I-129F (Petition for Alien Fiance(e)) for a K-3 visa, because I don't know what the time frame is between when I send a notification of my naturalization to NVC to when my wife will be invited for an interview at the Lagos consular office. Do you advice I hold off on the K-3 visa application? What is the estimated length of time the entire process is going to take before she gets here, please? Her case number is LGS2014642007.

So many thanks for what you do.

Usually -- usually -- the IR1 or CR1 cases are ready to be interviewed before a K3 can even be scheduled. I can't give you legal advice, but you should keep in mind that if the IR1/CR1 is ready at the same time as the K3, NVC will just schedule the IR1/CR1 and not refund your K3 fees.

The whole process from filing to interview usually takes around six to eight months.

Good luck!

You'll have good news from us today or tomorrow. You may need new medical reports, however, unless you plan to travel before March 8....

Great! I take it we've contacted you to let you know you can schedule an appointment? If so, the instructions should be in the e-mail we sent you. If not, we'll contact you when we receive word from NVC, and you can get a sneak preview of the necessary forms at http://nigeria.usembassy.gov/immigrant_visa_forms.html .

I was granted a 2years US Visa in February 2013 to attend a world bank sponsored training but ended not traveling because the training was cancelled. Since the visa was not used will there be any difficulty getting another Visa if I intend to travel to the US some other time in the future?

Hello vo! I would please like to know what it means to receive an email invitation for fingerprint after Dropbox. Submitted with that of a minor and also recieved and email saying that the child's passport should be picked at the dhl office. Email said that time for fingerprinting is from 1:30 to 2:30. Should I be worried about a possible denial or it's just part of a random procedure p.s have been ten printed at the embassy for last visa issuance. Thank you!

Good day ma, I want to appeal to you to kindly assist us. Our appointment was scheduled for: January 9, 2015, by 7:00 am. We missed it because I was seriously sick. This time our new appointment has been scheduled for: April 17, 2015, by 10:00 am. My wife is expected to return to work and no one else to look after our son in the United States. He is home all alone while a neighbour is helping out to look after him. Our son will be 9 years old on 1/31/ 2015. And my wife has to be with me for this interview. Please Can you help us move the date/ appointment to this Friday 16th of January, 2015. So my wife can return next week to the United States. I cannot thank you enough because you have been a great help to us!

Thank you and God bless you.

Please e-mail LagosIVscheduling@state.gov and request an earlier appointment. It may not be possible to give you an earlier appointment, however; for instance, we're already overscheduled on Jan. 16.

I don't know what the $95 charge would be. Could you clarify? The interview fee has increased by $95, from $230 to $325, but if you already paid the $230 before the fee change, we won't ask you to pay the difference.

Good day ma,
Thank you for all the assistance, we will forever be grateful! There is just something I would like to draw your attention to since I submitted the contact sheet in person, I have not heard from the embassy in regards to that. We were thinking we should have received a mail acknowledge the receipt of that document (the contact sheet), just like we received from USCIS/NVC, the NOA1 = (Notice of Receipt of our petition) We know the process takes time! We just want to be sure everything is in order so the waiting period can begins! Are we going to receive a mail in this regards? We just don't know, we just want to be sure.

Thank you and God bless you forever.
