Infact if you want to buy quality 100k na just intro. I got a dream on me 3 in 1 baby crib. Its wooden. Can b converted to a daytime bed and a twin sized bed. So even at 8 years child can use it. I intend to start frm day one cos I dont want baby sleeping with me and hubby on the same bed o. I got it at simply infants. Its more expensive on jumia nd konga.
Infact 100k will not go anywhere o. How much is baby bath, wardrobe, cot, rocker, car seat, carrier etc. Clothes nko ah. My advice just be buying small small. Also involve hubby. Sometimes de dont understand how expensive things are until they follow to shop.

I didnt mind al d buying too. Was so full of joy afta ttc. Was 2 start my ivf procedure wen I got my bfp. My dh had 2 stop me frm buying anytin again even though I was using my money.I used d money meant fr my gold 2 buy fr tins fr my baby n bought a fashion jewelry of 5k instead. It just depends on wat one wants. I even helped a frnd prepare a list wit just 70k. Their are a lot of things d baby wont use as newborn.Dh alwys do me yeye sey how many tins u wan put ur baby on top. Somtyms wen he wants 2 lie gim down he wil ask na wer I go put am? Rocker, playpen, stroller, bed net, or carry cot. N d tin gets me angry.

Na so, when I gave dh my list of 70k, he was like, na baby wen no get sense go use 70k things. He asked me to bring the list, he removed somethings like car seat, walker,. He said market no dey run. It was 30k he gave me wen no reach buy anything. I planned going again the next 2 week but gave birth before then. He saw car seat in Jumia and was surprised at the different prices.

I didn't buy baby drawer, he said our wardrobe is big enough

Since this is a community, can we all put heads together? Post a pic of your favourite product and why you like it. Cribs can be wooden, but finished in wrong lacquer, the slots on the side are small enough, it has a firm mattress. A pic makes it easier plus we can all keep an eye out for it and see the lowest prices where.

As for diapers, I'm planning on using clothe diapers, the new and improved types (not the old school one). They're cute, they look and act exactly like disposables (minus the cost) less diaper rash, colourful and I can use them up to 3 years, plus they're way cheaper than disposables. I'll be using washing machine o, I can't handwash but the savings alone plus the fact that you can reuse them for another baby is just making sense.

I'll be using Olive oil instead of Johnson's lotion, my sister used it for her boys and never had an issue with it and it moisturised beautifully, hair and body. I will get a car seat than a rocker and hope a lot of people gift me baby clothes (because those things are the biggest money drainers ever and your LO grows so quickly, you won't use most of it)

a bfc(big fat congrats) on your bfps. as u have both graduated from ttc, so will you successfully crossover to the new mum's thread to complain about nappy rash etc.. it will be easy for you guys.
deezou,i know your story a bit from ttc, though am not ttc, i have two friends with secondary infertility and my childhood friend is actively ttc, the lord will smile on them as he has done for you ladies.

Their store is around ketu buy they also do online purchase. They seem to have nice and more affordable things compared to jumia and the rest of them. Anyone with experience

it happens like dat sometimes. ur calculation may be wrong. go for a repeat scan in 2 weeks OR do a transvaginal scan- it picks babys heartbeat very early. I know ds because it happened to me. I went for scan thinking I was abt 10 wks n expected to c somtin only for d sonographer to giv me a report dt my preg was 6wks n cld only c a sac bt no fetal pole dt I shd repeat in 4wks. by d time I went back 6 wks later, I was already 15wks! so keep declaring positively, it is well wt u & u shall carry to term n deliver safely.

There is still time for the baby to turn. Do not panic some babies remain breech even at 36 weeks and turn(engage i.e turn head down) before 38 - 40 weeks.

I experienced the swollen legs in my first pregnancy during the 3rd trimester, even after child birth. The nurse I asked said it is lack of rest. That I move about a lot. she advised I raise my legs anytime I lie down. But make sure your blood pressure is ok cos it could also be a sign of high blood pressure.

Any anti malaria drug you are taking in pregnancy should be prescribed by a doctor. I took Fansider in my first pregnancy which was recommended by the 2 general hospitals I used then. BUT It is risky taking anti malaria drug in the 1st trimester, dat is why it is advised to treat malaria, typhoid or any infection/disease before/when planning to take in so as to avoid any drug in the 1st trimester.

It depend on the age of your baby. For new born - 6 months. Nigerian diaper(pampers) is ok and affordable especially the jumbo pack. But as from 1yr + Dr brown, absorbers, chuggies are all good. i.e from experience.

Please dont feel bad. Since you are in lagos why not try balogun market. We got spme things really cheap there and quality too. Infact to our greatest suprise some of d prices were even 3 times less.

@ rezzy - your hubby must be a funny man. Reminds me very much of my own father, na so the man dey strike out all my provision list those days in boarding school. It is well jare.

Hey mamas, how are you? It's Nighttime and here is a fun, bonding moment for you and your family.

By your second trimester, your baby can hear your voice from the 15th week (so start practising screaming his/her name when angry ). Before you sleep, grab your phone or ipad or whatever, play some songs and sing to your LO, add some tummy rubs as well. Trust me, even your scratchy voice sounds like tinkling bells to your child and it's a nice way to relax. Extra points if your husband decides to sing or read aloud to the baby this will help you all bond together as a family, not individuals having a kid. Also, get a soft pillow and start trying to sleep on i t, on your left side (OBGYN's suggestion).

Actually,I didn't knw whr to go initially.but idumota leads to balogun too.it was as if does people charmed me cos I made up my mind to price @ diff places first b4 settling to buy......but.......
