just received an email from Ukba that a decision has been made on your UK Visa application. Your application will be dispatched shortly from the Decision Making Centre in Sheffield, UK. If anyone contacts you advising that your application is still under consideration or that they can influence the outcome of your application in any way, they cannot - please report any such approach to VisaSheffield@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk.!! But I don't know when to travel to Abj to pick it up also should I wait for notification before going over? Advices and wish me well!!

Assuming you are applying for a settlement visa, you get 5 years by default (with no recourse to pubic funds attached).

Unfortunately settlement visas are not 5 years anymore. You get 2 1/2 years then as long as your circumstances have not changed you apply for an extension of a further 2 1/2 years whilst your in the UK then you can make an application for Indefinite leave to remain.
