There is a big deal! While there might be some (not many) of the market women's children studying abroad, they do not shop at Harrods, Ashford outlets, Ascot High street, etc. They do not live in the posh houses or drive the flashy cars our politicians and their families (even their concubines) own. Their children are hardly on Scholarships (the children of the average income and poor are). I know many of the children of these politicians over here who are in mental institutions and rehabilitation centres (drug and alcohol addiction).
These "market women" borrowed money from relatives, friends and neighbours to enable their children go to quality schools abroad as opposed to what obtains in Nigeria. Quality in this context does not mean very expensive/private school, it simply means good school with the right facilities and excellent teachers.
Being a dual citizen, I had the opportunity to school and live all my life abroad, but my parents made sure I schooled here and there, in order for me to have a fair say about matters affecting both countries educational, soci-economic, ethno-religious and political sectors.
Truth be told, even the most "seemingly transparent" of our politicians has a taint of corruption.
Dear politicians, stop indulging in sentimental politics! It was your policies and that of those you love and support that messed up most sectors in our polity and economy. Where your children live or school doesn't matter, just be truthful about it. Nigerians are no fools, they will eventually revolt and the aftermath won't be pleasant. Pots, stop calling kettles black. The masses are not stupid. One day, dog go cut chain bite the owner.
Who I, my family and loved ones will vote for lies in our hearts and the two brawling men and not on the list. What if nobody votes ? Will these men and their camp kill themselves.
Mr Jonathan, you have spent 10 yrs or so in office, why the slow pace in actualising your agenda? You are not doing us the masses a favour, we instead did u a favour by keeping you there in Aso rock. Mr Buhari, while you were head of state many years ago, what really did you achieve. Pray, tell us why we should vote you in as a civilian? Why is becoming president so crucial to your existence on earth? Why do you always pick "seemingly docile people " as your running-mates, are you afraid that they will steal your show? Why didn't you continue the race With Tunde? What agenda do you have that we haven't heard of and why should we believe you re different from the rest?
The other unknown candidates, what really do you have to offer? What have you done prior to this time that has changed lives and circumstances in our country? Why do you think you are special? Nigerians, be wise! Don't vote for a cockatrice, vote wisely. The poor always suffers, so be sure of what you are getting yourselves into. God bless you all. God bless Nigeria.

My friend do you read books, this is an renowned author and historian focusing military books in Nigeria Max Siollun, check out his books on Buhari. If we had continued in the direction in 1984 Nigeria will be competing with India,Indonesia and Brazil right now because we have everything in common and does countries have done well and we are still talking of 4 thousand megawatts of electricity in 2015

Much ado about nothing from the usual suspects. I fail to see how sending one's child overseas for the best possible education has now turned to a test for 'patriotism'.

Isn't this a clear sign that the PDP era has seen a decline in our educational sector?

I wonder the rationale at querying what a man does with his money when ex-militants that took up arms against Nigeria are routinely sent to South africa, Australia and other countries at GREAT EXPENSE to the taxpayer to learn things like 'welding'. cheesy

The big deal is when Buhari claims he has no money and borrowed money to purchase forms when his daughter is studying in a school that costs nothing less than 6 million naira per year in tuition and living expenses.

Now, that's the big deal.[/

And u think d girl doesnt have a mother who is from influential family, and thus has cousins, unckes and aunts who are well to do to do anything for her? We all know he's rich but he should stop giving us a picture that he is poor. He's entitled to two pension Package one as a former head of state and the other as a retired military man. I can tell u with this his kids can choose to school where ever they want to. But pls the peoples general shout stop selling cheap lies about his financial status it makes the sane ones look stupid.
I think you misinterpreted him, can a poor man get a 27million naira loan from any bank? We all know the answer is no!! Buhari is just being modest, and yes, in terms of the current crop of corrupt politicians we have, Buhari is a poor man.

Yes! No doubt, Buhari's daughter trended on twitter yesterday, after some of her pictures went viral. I am very happy for her that as a beautiful daughter of Buhari, a leading presidential candidate in the forthcoming elections, Priviledges like this come along.

I am not actually fused by Buhari's daughter trending because she is beautiful or she is Buhari's daughter, i am so shocked about the information i got about her.

The Information is that, Buhari's daughter is based and schooling in the united kingdom. She is a 400level student of microbiology in the university of surrey Uk according to lindaikeji.

My take on this:

1. It is no secret that why our politicians keep their children abroad, they use other people's children to achieve their aim.

2. Residing and schooling in the United Kingdom is very expensive. Buhari have been touted severally to be a saint that cant afford even a house, but, just one of his daughter that we have information on, is schooling in the Uk, I don't know about his other children.

3. It is high time nigerians as a whole begin to ask pertinent questions about our leaders and not just follow sheepishly whatever they hear. A politician will always be a politician.

4. Nigeria has pressing issues, very pressing issues, i actually do expect a Hashtag like #SayNoToTerrorism to trend amongst our youth in solidarity with the nigerian Army fighting night and day to end terrorism, but, it is a lady based in the UK that is trending.

5. Say No To Election Violence. #SayNoToElectionViolence should be our watchword. Why we kill ourselves, destroy our hard-earned properties, let us ask ourselves, were are the politicians of this children. Are their own properties even being tampered with?

My take on this issue is not just based on only Buhari's daughter, but on all politicians in these country. I strongly believe that, why they fight for power here, their children are somewhere abroad enjoying the perks of being offsprings of them.

#SayNoToTerrorism , #SayNoToElectionViolence
op God will greatly bless you for this words..

Why are you people so desperate to tarnish this man's image?
You all know most hausa's customs.
This daughter ( I don't know if she's married or not) may have been bethrothed at an early age; do you know if its her husband to be or husband that's sponsoring her education in UK?

By the way, with Buhari's modest farming retirement job and pension coupled with the daughter's odd jobs as she schools; her living in UK may not be much of a burden financially.

liar of the century, does the UK government allow those on student visa to work? even if you find who is willing to employ you you will be hidding in fear because you will not want the UK police to catch you. I have never been to the UK but I had an uncle there was deported, he said he always had all his money on him wherever he goes, in case the Police catches him he will not have to worry about his money, and he nad very little property, he also went to the UK with a student visa.
