pls I need someone to shed more light on this.
an agent called my brother to bring his passport for 3years working permit visa in australia with ship or when reaching there he can change the visa to another company.
he has not collected any money from him because he would collect money after the visa is confirmed.
my questions are: is it possible to issue 3years working permit foelr someone in nigeria and come over to work with it?
Secondly , can someone comfirm any visa status in nigeria may be through site to just verify if is valid or fake visa?.

Thank you. may God bless you all.

Listen to bosslady on this. That route is a long thing. There are betters ways. He should try out a 489 or 190 subclass.

@ The Bolded : Correct.. Your head is there..
@Bossladymo, With the phone option. go with prepaid option. you cannot go wrong with that. there is also prepaid boost mobile (blackberry options).

I think the real bonus here about the starting from somewhere is that the person(s) you end up working for will stand as your local reference. it paid out eventually grin. I learnt to follow-up with calls to the names on the adverts sometimes before and also after dropping CVs.

was not a big fan of www.seek.com.au but back then when it was reigning this side, i used this site www.snipey.com.au and it was heavenly. Connected me straight to the recruiters bypassing the agencies but shame they are under maintenance now.

PS: mehn those tradies ehn..giving their occupation the "chargeable" respect it deserves.

Please how can I apply for work in Australia directly from Nigeria here?
Thanks.

I just got my Australian visa to study at UNSW. I have been a silent observer of this thread though and I really appreciate the valuable information you all have contributed. I would please like to know if anyone is heading to Sydney in February because I'd really love to make arrangements for accommodation.

Unsw too, would be leaving by the end of January

If you are coming as a student, OSHC does not cover dental procedures. Not even partially. you have to pay the full cost. Permanent residents and citizens will be better suited because depending on insurance type and cover, they can get partial or full dental insurance cover

bossladyMo:

Why not just get an insurance cover that covers it?

Then after that.... Na to siddon look.

Hear it takes like 12 weeks from lodgement date to get a co... True?

You will get a payment confirmation from immi. Just sign on to your immi account to attach docs. You should use a pdf merger to merge docs of the same category e.g payslips, and not upload them one by one, so you don't give your CO extra work.....you want to make your application as seemless as possible.

Do I need to certify my PCC, IELTS, n skills assesment outcome. I know the transcript is necessary as well as the reference letter.

Also, I noticed there's no where to upload payslips.... Shey na so.

The attached pic, once all the relevant uploads are sorted, thassall?

Which would you say is the best bank, out of the big 4?

call me bias but i will stick with NAB as it was very flexible with the migrant banking option out of the 3 even though i heard there are better rates with Commonwealth.

Hmmm....ANZ and WESTPAC now have migrant banking options now. I got our account numbers within 48hrs. Westpac even goes as far as sending an application package to the account owner, and you can activate the account arriving, by sending over a copy of your passport.

What are the flexibilities you got with NAB?

No need to certify anything...just upload coloured originals. Same with transcript and reference letter.

To upload payslips, click on evidence of work experience again, then select payslips...then attach.

Tobhave a direct grant within 60-90days, get your health exams sorted and upload all required documentation. Before the holiday break, DIBP were on point..mwith people getting grants or CO in exactly 2 months from application.

You can say that again! We sold my husband's car 2 days back for a low price...but hey!, we have no choice...better ones will come.

Imagine someone pricing a 2007 Toyota Hiace bus bought just 2 yrs ago, and in very good condition, for 1.2m....like seriously...people are wicked. Thats way lesser than half of the original price o!

Now to sell things like our LCDs, Air Cons, Home Theatre....I'm already fearing the nonsense pricing people will price them. I taya!

I don't know how student visas medical clearance goes, but for permanent residence visas, it says 'health has been finalised for this applicant' on the immi account page.

The $500 (AUD) is the daily maximum withdrawal limit.

. BossladyMo is right. No need to certify all that. They need only the TRN no 4 IELTS.

-yeah same for me back in 2011, NAB were the only ones that guaranteed me ease of access in creating one in the shortest time possible. NAB also did the whole application package thing which was impressive for they had sent them to my destination address. Although I turned up at the bank just for the sheer purpose of meeting my account manager. Got both debit (chip) and EFTPOS cards activated that same day. didnt have to go in but i did it anyway.
-took a fixed bonus interest rate of 1.10% p.a for 9 months on top of the standard variable NAB iSaver interest rate which i think was about 5% then.
-free financial advice for the 1st year with them..

So yeah not much grin
