Buhari locked up politicians without trial, and his critics not just Fela who was notorious for clamouring for the exposure of the oil money rogue. Mrs. Vera Ifudu, who was an NTA reporter then, was sacked through his prodding as military ruler, for reporting what Dr. Olusola Saraki had told her in an interview about how the missing money was traced to Buhari’s account at Midland Bank London branch. Vera eventually won her case of wrongful dismissal in court against the NTA and was financially compensated.
Behold your thieving general parading as a truth crusader
Shouldn't Buhari have locked himself up also ?

Buhari ransacked the house of Chief Obafemi Awolowo and confisticated his International passport. We were not told what Awolowo did till date.
How many northerners got the same treatment?

OP you are a liar and Mischievous. For the sake of clarity I will respond to everything....

1. Lateef Jakande was arrested, charged for treason, convicted but was later pardoned by the administration of Muhammadu Buhari.

2. Jim Nwobodo was jailed for 22 years and convicted for looting the treasury of Old Anambra state.

3. Ambrose Ali was convicted to 100 years in prison for diverting state resources (983,000) to his party. However, Chief Igbenedion paid fine on his behalf and got him released.

4. Nduka Irabor and Tunde Thompson were both convicted for one year for publishing a false report and their employers was fined N50,000. For the benefit of those who aren't aware, They had published in The Guardian of April 1 & 8, 1984 stories with the headlines “Eight Military Chiefs Tipped as Ambassadors” and “Haruna to Replace Hannaniya”(Which was misleading as at then). They were given fair trial.

5. Ojukwu was arrested during the period when politicians were rounded up and investigated. He was later found out to be clean and released unconditionally. I understand how bad that would had been as at then but that he was released unconditionally showed that the administration wasn't out for a witch-hunt.

6. Bisi Onabanjo was duly convicted of corruption charges.

7. Alex Ekweme was arrested for corruption and his trial was ongoing. Brig General Tunde Idiagbon had announced that the sum of $56,000 was found in his house. Did he deny the claim till this date?

8. Sam Mbakwe was arrested for enriching members of his cabinent through attrocious allocation as "security vote".

9. Fela was arrested, convicted and jailed for breaking the money trafficking law though he had argued that the money was legitimately earned. Buhari's only "offence" was not giving him state pardon, instead he allowed the sentence of the judge to prevail. It has nothing to do with any billion dollars. By the way, no dollar is missing anywhere.

10. Tai Solarin was arrested and jailed for abusing the government by what was described as “acts prejudicial to state security” according to the government. This is one of the flaws of Muhammadu Buhari. Suffix to say that he wasn't entirely perfect, jailing Tai Solarin on such charge was uncalled for.

11. Busari Adelakun: It seems you don't know him. Busari was one of the Governor-thug of Oyo state in the mould of Akala. As Governor, he unleased cutlass on machete on opponents. Ask about the grandmasters of amala politics, Busari tops it. He was jailed for his sins while in office.

12. 14 Lawal Ojuolape, Benard Ogedengbe, Bartholomew Owoh: The trio was convicted of drug traficking and were executed. They weren't executed unjustly and were the only people to be executed by the administration.

OTHER CONVICTS ARE
1. ABBA MUSA RIMI, KADUNA STATE, to 21 years in jail for corruptly enriching 96 legslators of the State House of Assembly by N500,000

2.. AWAAL MUHAMMED IBRAHIM, convicted and jailed for corrupt practices.
3. GOV ADAMU ATTAH, KWARA STATE, convicted and jailed for enriching members of his government through the guise of security vote.
4. Melford Okilo, convicted to 21 years in prison for operating foreign account while in government which is against the law.
5. Abubakar Rimi, convicted for 21 years for receiving bribe
6. SABO BAKIN ZUWO, convicted for 21 years for accepting property bribe, convicted for looting Kano state and had a cummulative jail term of 300years. He was a FULANI from Kano state.
7. Akpa Aku, convicted for 21 years for dipping his hand into Benue Cement. The tribunal had told him that though BC was established and owned by the government, the company still belongs to benue people and not him.

Apart from Odumegwu Ojukwu, Tai Solarin and Lateef Jakande, all others were duly convicted/facing trials. Only people who are corrupt or of questionable character will victimise Mr. Buhari for his patriotic act of weeding the system of bad elements.
Lies from the pit of hell

He put in place a retroactive law that killed three (innocent) men by public execution. But he left untouched Ibrahim Babangida, an alleged well known drug baron who later overthrew his government.

Adekunle ajasin was tried three times and found innocent all three times and Buhari still placed the old man in jail

Buhari jailed Ndukar Irabor and Tunde Thompson of the Guardian Newspaper on stories that were factually true under Decree 4 and told the Nigerian journalists then that it did not matter whether the story reported was true or not, if his regime did not like it, d writer would go to jail.

Buhari is unforgiving. When he was in power in 1983, he remembered an article written long time ago by Bisi Onabanjo titled, "the Mallams are coming" and a later one in which Onabanjo wrote people should watch out for that "gangly officer from the north" after Buhari gave a no holds barred speech at some Army function where he was reported to be very openly pro-Fulani and pro-Islam to the exclusive of all else and also talked about termination of democratic rule. Onabanjo got a harsh jail terms and treatments.

Buhari jailed Fela Anikulapo -Kuti on trumped up charges under emergency law which prompted the sentencing judge to confess that he was ordered to do so and apologised to Fela. It was Buhari's administration that said it has "decided to deal with this Fela problem once and for all."

Can anyone tell us why they are all from a particular area of the country?

1. Lateef Jakande 100 yr sentence
2. Jim Nwobodo 100 yr sentence
3. Ambrose Alii 75 year sentence
4. Pa Adekunle Ajasin
5. Chief Ayo Ojewumi on cases that had no foundation
6. Ndukar Irabor and Tunde Thompson of the Guardian on stories that were factually true
7. DIM Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu for no reason
8. Bisi Onabanjo
9. Alex Ekwueme
10 Sam Mbakwe
11. Fela for singing about the missing 2.8 billion
12, Tai solarin in for distributing pamphlets against his tyranny
13. Busari Adelakun
14 Lawal Ojuolape
15 Benard Ogedengbe
16. Bartholomew Owoh

NB
Prof. Ambrose Alli became blind as a result of this false imprisonment. When he died, he had only one undeveloped plot of land to his name.
Pa Adekule Ajasin tried three times and judged innocent three times by the tribunal was jailed by Buhari anyway, he was never the same after his eventual release and remained sickly for the rest of his life. Whe he died, he never had any property anywhere in the world except the one he had built from his sweat as long term teacher and school principal in Owo township.
Ayo Ojewumi became blind as a result of his imprisonment over false charges and died shortly after.
Busari Adelakun died of ulcer because Buhari refused him to be taken out of prison for medical attention.
Alex ekwueme was also found innocent but Buhari kept him jailed

@op
You have tried very well to give details of corruption people jailed by Buhari during his administration but indirectly you are campaining for him because what most nigeria want now is that all corrupt politicians should be jailed and that is why GEJ is having problems with his administration imagine if the stella (avaiation minister ) has been sent to jail people by now must be hailing GEJ. Please do your calculation very well People want corrupt politicians jailed.

GEJ is now having problems based of his inability to jail and you think by this will make people hate buhari . You are very wrong. He is not perfect but based on this Nigeria will be willing to Vote him.

PDP and GEJ needs to understand the people and forget attaching buhari they need to make the people know what they have in stock for them.

I like GEJ but he is losing out daily from this campaign against buhari ,the fact people want change , why not tell people about the change he ll be bringing into his goverment.

Olodo, you are in the medical line; can you prove to us how the "false accusation" against Ambrose Ali made him blind?

By Ibrahim Shuaibu
Kano — The late military Head of State, Gen. Sani Abacha, did not loot the national treasury contrary to the general impression, two military former heads of state have said.

Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, who ruled Nigeria between 1983 and 1985, and his successor, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida, gave Abacha the clean bill in Kano yesterday after the rememberance prayers marking 10 years of the death of Abacha, who ruled between 1993 and 1998.

The truth which makes Buhari a bloody liar

(Reuters) - The United States has taken control of more than $480 million looted by former Nigerian dictator Sani Abacha and his associates after a court ruling, the Justice Department said on Thursday.

The money stolen during Abacha's 1993-1998 de facto presidency of the oil-rich African nation and stashed in banks around the world will be returned to the Nigerian government, the department said in a statement.

“Rather than serve his county, General Abacha used his public office in Nigeria to loot millions of dollars, engaging in brazen acts of kleptocracy,” Assistant Attorney General Leslie Caldwell said in the statement.

U.S. District Judge John Bates in Washington ordered on Wednesday that the funds, frozen by the Justice Department in March, be forfeited to U.S. control.

The judgment includes about $303 million in two bank accounts in the British offshore center of Jersey and $144 million in two bank accounts in France. Three accounts in the United Kingdom and Ireland hold at least $27 million, the statement said.

Claims to another $148 million in four investment portfolios in the United Kingdom are pending.
