Great work here... more grease to ur elbows.. Just yesterday, I noticed that anytime I try accessing Facebook with my laptop, whether thru a link or direct, as long as it is Facebook, that will be 'it' for d system.. It will just hang there, then attempts to restart which will fail due to one stuff missing (error message). Then I'll av to shutdown and restart using the power button. The system is barely 1 month old.. hp Pavilion 15-n209sia Core i3. It started when I used d USB port to charge one China phone. Note: It's mozilla Firefox, and It opens other websites well. Thanks

All right, here is the latest... the Facebook ish has stopped, working well now.. but, when I leave d system on for a very long time without operating, it will show a dark screen saying Boot file not found... insert a disc bla bla bla with the OS.

Your hdd may be developing fault or you have a program running in the background that is causing it, some programs have problems with sleep or powersaving modes.

Toshiba P300-20H Windows Vista/Windows 7/Windows XP ?
If you have more than one operating systems please specify.
I would advise you open the system properties by right clicking
computer or my computer and take note of windows activation status.

When did it occurred, i.e. five days ago or recent ?

Two things to check. First enter your BIOS and run the SMART test to see if the hdd has developed a fault. If there is no problem there, go into your OS press Windows key + r and type msconfig. In the window that opens up click on the startup tab and look through the programs listed uncheck any one you don't need and then ok it and reboot.

You possibly installed Windows 32-bit on a 64-bit architecture. I would advise you install Windows 64-bit to get the best out of your 8 GB Random Access Memory.

Please I need help. I just collected my laptop back from task direct. Only to get home and it showing water mark in the desktop background. I then discovered that the windows has not been activated. I tried activating it but it's showing error 0x8007007B the filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect . What do I do?

You mean I shld format the system? Another thing I'm seeing is that he windows currently on that I'm seeing is windows 8 pro but it actually came with windows 8. The engineers must have changed it but I didn't ask them. It's very annoying cos it's a new system I jst got bt noticed some issues n I returned it only for them to return it bck to me after well over two months. Noticed it was formated and also opened and the windows unactivated . So if I format, which windows will be restored? D 8 or 8 pro?

I have a system which is dual core processor at a speed of 1.8GHz. Dos it mean dat each processor is 1.8GHz and the total speed is 3.6GHZ
