saintkash:Your post shows you do not understand a single thing concerning evaluation of economic systems. On what grounds are you comparing both country? In fact, let me just be silent. Your post is annoying to respond to. |

Babymama1:Businesses are no charitable organizations. If you want fuel at welfare rate, build and refine all you need. Even plus exces to export. As long as you have to import some, believe me, your gdp is irrelevant to the refineries. You either pay at the going rate, or you get out. |

I wonder y people don't sit down to make research n finding, just jump up n write just to credit or discredit. Naija Government has failed n all we should b praying for is a good change n not trying to give credit to those do not deserve it. You are talking of gas price in naija is cheaper to the US, have u sat to calculate how much an average Nigerian earn n cost of living? I live in Virginia where just a cent is anticipated to b added on pump price of gas n everyone is talking about it as if it's 10$. Minimum wage is like 8$, which means $8 x 160 hours a month of labour =$1280./month, n 1280$ x 181naira = #231,680. While I bought a gallon for $1.45, therefore making a litter here =about #84. Now how many Nigerians earn this much n anytime there is election that is when these people come out to do us the so called favour just to win our vote which we give them foolishly. Was there no gas all this while,y was d price not reduced until now? Let us stop celebrating failure as if these things are not our right ,just because it's reduced should we start dancing n throwing parties. Please let's pray, hope n look forward to change. Long live Naija |

$8 x 20hours x 185 = 29,600. That is for working for just 20 hours in a month and like just three days of work in Nigeria. It is pathetic. bishopclin: |

nwanna89:Minimum wage is actually $1160 a month ($7.25 an hour) and that is N203,000 (1 dollar to N175 exchange rate) |

dguy4:Hello there! America actually produces more crude oil than Nigeria. That's by the way. What we really need is for the govt to completely deregulate the petroleum sector. The subsidy needs to be removed. Allow those with the capacity to import. Encourage private refineries. As long as we continue to import refined fuel, price will stay high. We should remember that the naira keeps falling in value. |

bishopclin:I hope you are not the real author of this deceptive trash! Cos there's e-curse following whoever is the author! Before prices of petrol can be compared, the standard of living of USA & Nigeria should be compared. Minimum wage in Nigeria is N18,000. Is that the same amount earned by civil servants in USA? Last Bullet This is another message to make Nigerians feel loved by GEJ. We ll decide on Feb 14. Boya bi won se n rule country ni PDP ati GEJ se n se yi? |
