You are right on the money! point blank and straight to the point.

Buhari was academically challenged, that the principal felt he should be elsewhere instead of repeating exams over and over again... that is what all the information relased so far adds up to.

Buhari should come out clean. it is no more necessary asking him for a certificate that does not exist, he should just confess lol
PointB:
Why the recommendation?

Was he struggling academically, and the principal decided to offload him? Why not wait until he passes his final WASC? Why the hurry to push Buhari to the military then?

Something is not adding up!

Which school? School he graduated from In 1961? Do you know how many years that is? The school has changed name several times, how many institutions in Nigeria keep records from 1961?
Schools issue a testimonial along side your o' or 'A' level results. Where is his own? The same energy it took the school to write a letter is enough to issue a certificate.

Before you fall victim to PDP deceit. Here are the facts.

1. Buhari is duly qualified to be President of Nigeria (see his CV below)

2. The Original Copies of his credential were looted when his home was vandalized after the coming of IBB and Buhari's arrest.

3. Buhari in his education and training in Nigeria, India, United Kingdom and the United States has qualification equivalent to Masters Degree.

4. Buhari in the election and other subsequent outings has submitted a sworn affidavit which fully backed by law.

5. Buhari have not contravened any electoral law or the constitution in all he has done.

The law says if you don't think Buhari have sufficient credentials, go to court. Jonathan is the C-in-C he knows the truth. PDP are only barraging Nigerians with this issue to see if they can distract you and smuggle their 6yrs failure of Jonathan's administration.

Buhari is, and more than qualified. Don't fall victim of PDP's campaign of madness.

This Valentine, it is all about Nigeria - Sai Buhari.
Shame on you for this ur incompetent analogy of buhari having an ssce cert.
In no 2 u mentioned how Ibb vandalized buharis homes and carted away with his cert.
oh! you son of Ishmael did Ibb vandalized the secondary school buhari attended? Did Ibb vandalized waec office? why not advice bihari to go and enroll into almajiri school that was built by gej or rather go to kastina community sec and start from jss3 even though he dropped out during second term in jss2
ur no 3 analogy u saidbhis military qualifications are equivalent to m.sc please may I use this opportunity to apologise on this guy behalf for insulting all graduates and undergraduates here on nairaland.
ur no 4 did u ever hear of electoral act law as at mended? oh you son of Ishmael?
ur no he has if it were in France he would not be eligible to pick form from his party let alone going to inec until he apologise for supporting bokoharam and the killing of corps members.Gej till bihari goes to school.

It simply means he doesn't have a cert but got a letter from a school principal in his neighborhood that gave him admission into the military.
All of us know that getting a letter from a principal is a very cheap thing to acquire.

It is not a proof of education.

Now today he says military is with his cert
Next day he says IBB siezed it
Today he's admitiing he only got a letter and not a real cert.
The truth will finally come out.

it actually takes less energy to give a cert than write a letter because the cert is already printed by waec or whatever board and all they have to do is write your name on it.

Buhari is just a beneficiary of the quota system that's put Nigeria where it is today. Undeserving folks getting favors because they have to be pampered and carried along even when they make no effort to qualify for it.

Please what's the point of this talk? No one wants to live in that kind of Nigeria, not for anyone. No one is worth that.

This is my personal opinion.

As far as this certificate thing, my support for the man doesn't change a bit because while paper qualifications are great they're not always required to be successful. Some of the greatest companies in the world today we're started up by guys without these certificates. What's important to me is people you surround yourself with. Now from Buhari's Vp to the folks he has put out there that he's taking to the villa with him, I'm good!!

This to me is just a distraction, certificate doesn't tell you corruption needs to be dealt with, you don't need a certificate to know that the insurgency has to be crushed so that people don't die everyday. You're in the workforce for so long and it gets to a point your certificate doesn't really matter anymore, what matters is the ability to excel at your job.

To me GEJ has failed, we keep getting told that everything will be good in the future never anything in the present despite money that they say they've spent. Change is important to keep our leaders accountable.

Anyway Buhari is finally going to speak about it tomorrow. So stay tuned

This is the last part of your post: "You really do not think Buhari was offered admission into the Mons Officer Cadet School in the United Kingdom; and the Army War College in the United States with just letters from the Military do you?"

I am not disputing all other qualifications, what I think does not matter and in the proper sphere of things, he ought not to proceed beyond certain points or get admitted to certain areas without qualifying certificates. but the issue is, where is that qualifying, fundamental certificate? Assumptions will not work in the eyes of the law! Justice must be done and seen to be done. If u assume that he must have had the basic certificate in question and he tendered them or it to be successfully enrolled in the Cadet school and War College, where are the copies? Lost?
And no, you do do not have to tell me where the certificate is because even you do not know where it is. If the owner is not even sure (Secretary-Military Board, IBB junta seizure, missing, not in possession of said Army/Military Board..etc), then even you, cannot hazard a guess or presume to answer the questions for him.
You're taking me back to the question. If you agreed that he actually studied in those institutions of learning, you have to agree that he at one time, he had his WASSC. If so, I think he told us what happened during the overthrow. He already sworn an affidavit in a court of law, so anyone bothered should approach the court. And by the way, I don't have to present my WASSC if that's not my highest qualification. Buhari can never be disqualified on this ground, because we are not in doubt if he has higher qualification or not. The constitution says minimum of WASSC. If the PDP is confused, let them approach the court for interpretation.

Nigerians, PDP, news media are all now saying our one time Head of State does not have school cert and cannot lead the country! That makes us all STUPID!

Saying that a man rose to become a GENERAL in the Nigerian Army and yet is not qualified to lead actually ridicules the Nigerian Army itself.

It is like a man saying to his wife of 40 years and mother of his 6 children that she is not qualified to be called his wife because he never really voiced the word 'I WILL' when they knelt in church.

Isn't that silly?

The primary issue is that Buhari LIED on oath about possessing qualifications required to run for president of Nigeria. Its a legal requirement, its not about what we believe he can do if elected. You can not build illegality on illegality.

I can guarantee you that his speech tomorrow will still not produce the required secondary school certificate.

Talk about a faulty foundation. I once read a book by one popular ex military man, I can't remember his name again, I think I'll look for the book later. He said during their days in the early sixties in the army, at the military training in sandhurst, UK, that Hausa was kinda like the lingua franca. Even the PM then visited and was happy that all spoke Hausa thinking they were all hausas in their batch. Meanwhile some of them were from the south but had learned the language.

Meanwhile GEJ till 2019.

The legal requirement states certificate or equivalent. For him to get into the schools he got into later abd to rise to the point he has risen to, I think he has surpassed what's required.

Again for me, I don't care about the certificate. If the PDP wants to take it to court, good luck to them. As long as he's still qualified to run, he still gets my support and I haven't heard one person say they're not voting him again. I'll say it, this is a distraction. It's just something for the opposition to talk about till election. This doesn't change anyone's mind. I just hope the NA is not playing any funny games
