I'm very sure you do not understand what that means. It simply means he claimed to have sat for the exam,and passed with those grades but didn't provide any supporting document to back his claim. It's just like a student applying to a university today,and filling different grades in the column that provides for him to state his grades and subjects passed but does not attach any supporting certified copy of the result,from waec. In lieu of that,He gets his school principal to write a recommendation letter to the higher institution,telling them he is fit to study in that school. The recommendation letter cannot be a substitute for the certified true copies from waec.

WAEC is just one of the prove but not d only prove. because WAEC needs evidence of ur education b4 you can write WAEC. Again all one needs to have a waec certificate is just one D8 ot P8

its possible in 1961 that the admission was easy back then and you could be recommended by the principal of your school ,but he went to secondary school! ,so whether he finished before going into the military gave the military institution a bad name ,and its obvious that the military men gave the information to the ruling party and the Pdp started making a lot of noise about it.The military men are also playing politics.

You may be right but remember it was the GMB who said his certificate was with the army in the first place before pdp decided to go confirm from them,so he shot himself on the foot from the o set.
