With this certificate issue alone, I can't vote Buhari. There is no way a man who is not faithful in little thing like certificate can fight corruption. NEVER.
The annoying thing is: going by the mode in which he attained his accomplishments, he will not see a big deal in promoting people with mediocrity. Giving people (especially the northerners) appointments even when they are not qualified cannot be alien to him. People may argue how has a man with PhD fair with his qualification? That question however rather brings another twist to the drama. It raises another serious question: If a man with PhD seems to be struggling, what can we then expect a man without SSCE to perform?
I don't want to be taken away by argument that Buhari rose to become a General in Nigerian Army . The truth is that Hausa/Fulani controlled and dominated the military for long that getting to the top irrespective of your qualification or background as long as you are from their stock cannot be a problem. Example is what we see in Abacha. It is their attitude of not caring about qualifications that brought so much rot into the Nigerian Army and even Nigeria as a whole.
I personally went to school, studied hard, know my onions, have come to appreciate distinction and professionalism and believe how well read you are determines how you will perform in any given office. I refuse to give in to argument that a man with little education is better than one with higher education. If that argument holds water, the world can as well wipe out secondary and higher education while we all simply go to school to learn to read and write. What is the essence of people spending their resources and life time studying if it can be argued that such is not necessary.

The North used Quota System to completely kill and rubish merit in Nigeria, which brought about the poor ( Educational, Economical, etc ) system & born to rule mentality in Nigeria.

Just imagine how much others have been cheated or denied what they merited with Quota System.

Rubbish! Which Nigerian institution (let's not talk about foreign) will admit you when you tell them your certificates are missing? Don't be dumb.

I think NIGERIANS should begin to ask the foreign schools and army training formations Buhari attended and let's see if this gets messier or not. Nonsense, I can't come to terms with the fact that some highly educated people are clamoring support for such impunity and disregard for the rule of law and yet they are shouting change and promising to fight corruption, even the legal luminaries in theirs midst, it's such a shame. Is APC and Buhari they telling NIGERIANS that you can lie your way up to the top? Are they telling us we don't need education to become doctors, engineers, architects etc. We wait to see events unfold in the coming days.

then let him send a letter to the war college to send us a copy of the waec result na. Na fight? Lmao
He doesn't need to because the law never demanded a hard copy, hence the affidavit.

If you are interested apply and they will give it to you.
No institution in the world accept a photocopy. Hence affidavit, which has a legal status. An affidavit is worldly acceptable where the original no longer exist.

I won't be surprised if over 80% of apc candidates are parading toronto certificates. I think all other parties should start investigating apc candidates. They are always prone to forgery issues.

The truth is, APC is in a very dicey situation if Gen. Buhari cannot produce his secondary school certificate. By swearing to an affidavit to the effect that he had a certificate (lost, stolen, destroyed....), his eligibility to contest will be hinged on this secondary school certificate irrespective of any other certificates he acquired later.

But the bigger implication is the perjury aspect. I was with some very senior lawyers yesterday and even though I do not really understand a lot of their 'lawyer speak", what they all seem to agree with is that, even if Gen. Buhari wins, his victory will be overturned by the courts.

Head or tail, it seems APC loses.

I just hope its not too late for APC to present another candidate.

I guess ds is GEJ last card dts y he is holding on to it so tight. But then, ur plan don fail. My only fear now is dt d military has gone partisan and ds is no good 4 our nascent civil rule.

Are you dumb? The Toronto saga was a scam, where the former Speaker, Salisu Buhari (not Muhammdu Buhari) claimed he went to the University of Toronto. That was easy to detect because the University claimed it never admitted him, not to talk of awarding him a degree. In the case of Muhammadu Buhari, the US War College has come out to say they have his records.

Buhari has no business with any Nigerian to prove or otherwise he has an SSCE certificate. On this, it is INEC that he is answerable to. INEC has said that whoever is in doubt of the qualification of Buhari should go to court. U no sabi the road to court?

Wow, how sexy is this comment, he has no business with any Nigerian yet seeking public office right?

Buhari 12 million cows are something else, Now let me explain to you, if Buhari had sat down in his daura village for you and his followers to come worship him, trust me no Nigeria will give a phuck about his certificate or school he attended, but the fact that the general on life support machine is seeking public office, reasons he needs to explain to people who he wants to hire him for the highest office in the land if he truly have what it takes to be given the job.

If you and his 12 million almajiri see your god as too big to answer to the questions raised by Nigerians, then is better you ask him to quit and retire to his daura village where you his followers can go worship him or go on everlasting pilgrimage if you so want.

If Buhari does not have business showing me his certificate even as an ordinary citizen, how sure am i he will give account of stewardship if elected. The fear of Decree4 my man

WHEN DID PHOTOCOPYING BEGIN IN NIGERIA? CAN ANYBODY ANSWER THAT?
THE GENERAL SAID HE LOST HIS CERTIFICATE,
THE MILITARY SAID YOU CAN'T BE COMMISSIONED UNLESS YOUR CREDENTIALS ARE VERIFIED
THE MILITARY SAID AGAIN THAT RESULTS WERE WRITTEN AGAINST HIS NAME BUT NO EVIDENCE OF VERIFICATION
THE MILITARY STATED AGAIN THAT HE HAS A LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION
CAN A PERSON ORDINARILY GET EMPLOYED WITHOUT THE EMPLOYER VERIFYING YOUR CREDENTIALS AND ASKING YOU FOR GUARANTORS/or RECOMMENDATION LETTER?

DON'T FORGET ALSO THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 131&318 OF NIGERIAN CONSTITUTION,THE EXCERPTS ARE,

Section 131. A person shall be qualified for election to the office of the President if -
(a) he is a citizen of Nigeria by birth;
(b) he has attained the age of forty years;
(c) he is a member of a political party and is sponsored by that political party; and
(d) he has been educated up to at least School Certificate level or its equivalent.
Section 318

"School Certificate or its equivalent" means
(a) a Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent, or Grade II Teacher’s Certificate, the City and Guilds Certificate; or
(b) education up to Secondary School Certificate level; or
(c) Primary Six School Leaving Certificate or its equivalent and -
(i) service in the public or private sector in the Federation in any capacity acceptable to
the Independent National Electoral Commission for a minimum of ten years, and
(ii) attendance at courses and training in such institutions as may be acceptable to the Independent National Electoral Commission for periods totalling up to a minimum of one year, and
(iii) the ability to read, write, understand and communicate in the English language to the satisfaction of the Independent National Electoral Commission, and
(d) any other qualification acceptable by the Independent National Electoral Commission;

THE MAN IS HIGHLY QUALIFIED TO RUN AND NO COURT OF LAW CAN DISQUALIFY HIM!

So why did he lie that he has a WASC? If he is aware of all these conditions, are you not worried that he wanted to fraudulently present himself as having the certificate he does not have in order to achieve his ambition of being Nigerian Democratic President? Is this a sign of a man of integrity? Can he honestly promote anti-corruption as he has made us believe with this type of scandal? Why did he not simply present the certificate he has relying on these other provisions of INEC and allow Nigerians to decide instead of getting enmeshed in this type of controversy? This is definitely NOT the type of CHANGE we want!
