And its never true anywhere in the world that a Nigerian degree is not accepted, a degree from any reputable Nigerian University is acceptable anywhere in the world, travel around and see sound Nigerian graduates who had their first degrees in Nigeria wow others out there. Initially they may lag with current trends (obviously Computing) but then they adjust and excel beyond everyone's imagination. If you claim they are handicapped initially, its because of the bad leadership that had been forced on them by bad leaders like the one in question.

Now that's not to say Nigeria hasn't got brilliant minds, however the mediocres far outnumbers the intellectuals so in most cases, it's the mediocres who run the day, depriving the intellectuals of the opportunity to make a positive difference... That's why you will never see that team in aso rock.

If Goodluck Jonathan a "phd" holder can be this intellectually poor, Nigerians are better of with Buhari. I personally would have preferred someone contemporary like Fashola but we can't always have what we want, anybody but Jonathan will do for me.

That is not because the Nigerian degree is not recognized, rather there are requirements and standards that are set and should be adhered to by all concerned.My point is that this is applicable to most foreigners and not " people from Nigeria or third world.

Eg.as an illustration If a country ask as a minimum an IELTS score ( using this example since we can all relate) then it doesn't matter if you think you are from france or the united kingdom or japan or Nigeria).

If the person in question is already educated and desires to get some professional recognition, then I am yet to hear of any one being discriminated on basis of having studied in Nigeria. If you are in doubts look up the requirements for any professional body and see the same rules applies to Nigerians as other foreigners, be it Medicine in the U.S (USMLE), engineering council there in the UK and countless examples

It would interest you to know the nigerian degree and grading from an accredited institution is equivalent to the British degree and even better than most of those countries you think are superior. Look up any academic grades conversion tables.
