Sir, I'm not being unpatriotic. Buhari knows too well the view most people have about him, He should be looking for the slightest opportunity to prove his critics wrong and sell himself to the electorate, By boycotting the debate, He's confirming what people think about him. What proof does he have that NEDG leaked questions to GEJ?.. None!
The man knows what he's avoiding.
So your idea of the chance to prove himself is in a debate organised by pdp sympathisers? Can you answer why Gej refused to attend an independent party's debate but attended BON 's in 2011? It's on that premises that no other candidate but Gej will attend BON' s debate.
Moreover, the general had proved himself before now. we're just waiting for him to deliver on his promises. Can you honesty say the same for Gej?

Officer, wrong analogy! In football match, a neutral referee officiate. The referee has no tied with the home team. Even at that, there is "Home and Away". Nobody will agree to debate in a partial/partisan environment.
Will Israel PM Nayayawu participate in a debate with Iran President on Press TV?

No surprises. Even if Buhari poos in a church, you'll still defend him.

Meanwhile, this is the same NEDG that has been organizing pre-election debates since 2011 and all political parties have been participating since then. Not once did any of the participants complain of bias. We know the only reason Buhari would boycott the debate is because it will expose his incompetence.

Thank God it was not GEJ that threatened to boycott the debate, otherwise Buhari goons would have had a field day unleashing their venom on him. Now that it was their weeping general that chickened out, they are here to make excuses for him. Assuming Buhari wins the election, but God forbid, this is how they'll try to make excuses for him when his govt begins to fumble and wobble. Shame!!!

Woe betided reasoning from a Jonathanian

Has GEJ even apologised for disrespecting Nuhu Ribadu,Ibrahim Shekarau and Gen Buhari for absenting himself from the 2011 Elections debate organised by the NN24 which was the first in the series

If i was APC,till Nigeria will end .......i will never allow any of our candidates to participate in any Government agency organised debates

There are myriads of other NEUTRAL stations,Civil Societies and Human Rights Organisations that can organise a debate whose credibility would not be in doubt

APC should render that NEDG comatose by not dignifying it with an appearance either now or in the future

Buhari's excuse is very lame. I'm sickened by the fact that Nigerians have become more political than the politicians. So he has refused to participate because it is being conducted by pro GEJ media houses but will participate in an election conducted by INEC chairman appointed by GEJ. Can't we reason again? Nonsense!

Does Jega or any of the INEC official report to the President? Is INEC supervised by the Executive arm? Is Jega a card carrying member of the PDP?

The General made the right call.
To those who think otherwise, just a question....
Can Jonathan subject himself to a debate organised by Saharareporters, preniumtines, TVC and their likes?

So, human being can buy into such a child reasons by APC to dodge the national debate. We are finished in this country. Buhari should come and tell us what he will do for Nigerians since, he is the most qualified among his children. But for real some good brains has sour becos of propaganda and lies.

See,you just confirmed my fears. So INEC officials are no longer civil servants just like NTA officials? So every civil servant in this regime is now a card-carrying PDP member? So if GEJ summons Jega he will not report with rocket speed?

All the same, bookmark this, Buhari will never ever rule Nigeria. Never!

Nonsense!

Point of correction, Jega doesn't report to the President, he report to the Senate and Reps. Jonathan CaNNOT summon him, iNEC is not attached to the Executive unlike NAT/BON and co. No Minister supervise INEC, they are INDEPENDENT! They set their rules and don't need the President's approval. They work with the electoral act and the constitution and not directive of the President. Inec is not in the same league with NTA. Please know the difference!

I would appreciate a debate with you on core reasons why you will always support Buhari notwithstanding the level of intelligence you show. This particular argument of yours is illogical.

Know this, Buhari is not qualified to rule Nigeria. Not just because of his lack of certificate, but because of his "personality". Buhari is just used by politicians to win elections.
