SailorXY:Something must have gone wrong recently. All our players suddenly became the laziest in the world. I think the famous SAF backroom staff should take bulk of the blame. Na only Rafael and DDG we fit talk say dem no become lazy. |

I've resigned my self to the fact we're going to lose DDG within the next 2 years. |

MrTA:we will find another.... players come & go, the brand remains. SAF shoulda known better - never buy spanish players. they always get turned on with playing for barca or madrid. |

parrotibaba:* How can you vouch for the old ones when the current ones dont reflect the reality. Hope you wont come in 5 years time to tell us RVP played in midfield based on these charts? * The charts don't tell anything. The matches they were used were not stated for further verification. I can make up charts and labelled them 4-4-2 Man United 1930 formation. * These charts look to have been prepared by the websites users, just as people use naiaraland. The users are probably the worst United fans out there considering their charts for 2014/15 season. * What exactly does this website stand for? What is their mission? What is their purpose? Who are they? |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 9:35pm On Feb 02, 2015 |
I actually was expecting to see a link or charts telling us Man United played 4-4-2 24 times, 4-3-3 xtimes, etc. Then they will state the players mostly used in positions. Bros this one no fly. |

I no get time for further arguments ,list d number of times Rooney played on d wings in his entire united career ,I just gave u an idea of hw we assembled dos years ...u know what ? why not counter my formation argument with ur own research over d years Rooney played for us n show me why u think he lined up on d wings most of d time? |

parrotibaba:Your formation na mamaput draw am. ![]() Does your formation tell how many times Rooney played as a second striker? When you were making kpakpakpakpa this afternoon like an hungry parrot, I think say you get info from credible source. You even dey argue with articles I submitted from several sources corroborating one another. * No one will be able to tell how many matches Rooney has played in the wing because there were no credible tactics websites tracking these info in the past. However, during the course of arguments more facts will be coming out. I submitted an article on this thread where it was stated categorically that Rooney was played dominantly in the wing in 2004/2005, 2005/2006. He played more in one of those seasons, but I cant remember vividly which. The article was very specific with details. * In all your argument, you have not mentioned such strikers as Alan Smith and Luiz Saha in 2005/6. Smith had 15(6) matches while Saha had (12/7) matches. * iN 2006/7 we brought Henrik Larsson on loan for two and a half months. |

elampiro:arguing with elampiro is like trying to convince PEJ to go back to school ,FYI I mentioned Rooney playing behind saha whenever d ninja is injury free ,or u r so high on orijin u forgot dat ...I don finish d argument cos left to u ,u will argue till next year over a fallacy ,.. until u provide d number of times Rooney plied his trade on d wings throughout his united career n if dos times r more dan 4 in a season den dis argument is as good as dead ,gud night Side note; Remember dat I never said Rooney didn't play on d wings but dat he Rarely played on d wings so giving me an instance or two dos not validate ur points cos according to u ,he played on d wings so many times so unless u provided d evidence to prove dis ... |

parrotibaba Manchester United Rooney made his debut for Manchester United on 28 September 2004 in the UEFA Champions League against Fenerbahçe, scoring a hat-trick and also an assist (the match finished in a 6-2 win for United). For the 2005-06 season, Rooney initially started playing in wider positions than his more favoured central role. Eventually, after Manchester United's poor run of form early in the season, Sir Alex Ferguson moved him back to his stronger position, playing behind Dutchman Ruud van Nistelrooy as a second striker. He got his first professional Winners Medal in the 2006 English League Cup. He was also named Man of the Match in the League Cup final against Wigan Athletic, after scoring two goals in the final (a 4-0 victory for United), en route to winning his first senior medal. He was also a member of the United side defeated in the 2005 FA Cup Final by Arsenal. He captained Manchester United for the first time in a home Champions League match against Copenhagen on 17 October 2006, becoming probably the youngest captain in the clubs' history. www.cs.mcgill.ca/~rwest/link-suggestion/wpcd_2008-09_augmented/wp/w/Wayne_Rooney.htm More reports pointing to my stance. |

elampiro:Rooney played behind saha who relegated Nistelroy to d bench until he was injured . Alan smith? dude was an injury player n even when he started playing ,nistelroy was back from injury n he was relegated to d bench n eventually pushed to d midfield ,d position he still plays today ,what r u trying to get at? u still haven't proved dat Wayne Rooney mostly played on d wing in his united career ... You know what? am done arguing n I will no longer comment on dis issue again cos it's baseless n u hv nt proved anything as of yet ,only pointing out few matches u scrounged up from d net. bye Rooney never started his career on d wings ,his first game he played as a supporting striker ...

parrotibaba:* You are showing us match report of one single match. It is useless to the argument. * How was Nistelrooy a back up to Saha when Nistelrooy played 35 league matches? Nistelrooy 28(7) Smith 15 (6) Saha 12 (7) Anyway I don't blame you too much. You learnt your football from a very wrong source- a website run by American obese kids. |

First you said Saha relegated Nistelrooy to the midfield and bench. Now you said Saha returned from injury in Novenber 2005 to be first choice striker. So how come he was only featured in 12 starts and 7 subs? I will find time to xray 2005/2006 season for you. It will take time but I can make it if i am determined. Look at how I have given you a line up. I can give you all Saha matches, even all matches that season. The line up above suggests Rooney was in the wing. |
