Someone who had the highest number of passes and touches? He tormented the defence with long balls for Fellaini and RVP. That got the Cambridge defence confused.

Rooney is almost the all time goal scorer for England. This is despite playing in the wing in major part of his national career. If he were used as a striker like Shearer, Owen, Heskey, Defoe, etc, he would have broken the Three Lions record since 5 years ago. Rooney is victim of his intelligence and versatility.
