In the days of old, consulting prophets was a normal thing so I don't think its a bad thing.

God gave us different gifts, for those that can't see, you should ask those that can and if you will do that now, you have to shine your eyes well. As you know, false prophets abound. You are on your own if you fall into the wrong hands.

As for me I'll rather consult God myself. All these prophets can't be trust. Tho God's factor can't be over emphasize in choosing a life partner.

Its Not a good Idea because the devil can scatter a God ordained union through seeking confirmation from some so called prophets.
Why would you want to meet a prophet for confirmation, when you yourself can get confirmation from God directly.

What will a prophet/prophetess tell you? Well, it depends shall o... But my candid opinion is that you too can take it to God in prayer. Nevertheless God MAY not grant your wish if you don't have a good relationship with HIM.

Do not say it is unwise. It is very wise. You need to pray and confirm if you are in the right direction though not always 100% but only for few.
I can boldly tell you that there are many things we neglect that we aren't suppose to. Before I married I prayed and pastors told me some certain things, my dad even did a traditional consultation. Every message giving are 80% similar. I jettisoned some things, after all, every marriage is not 100% so we will always sort things out. After marriage, there use to be a lot of friction. I then read about the Chinese zodiac signs and is not different from the revelations.

The bottom line here is that it can be wise. Do not forget that God won't come down to live your marriage for you. It requires does involve to live it right in the midst of their differences.

Besides Adam whom God gave a wife, 'Eve, God has given man the Mandate to search for a woman that will be his wife.
Prophets /prophetesses are supposed to pass on revelations given to them by God. It therefore follows that if God had the intention of revealing wives through Prophets ( by the way, there are many fake ones) then he( God ) wouldn't have told men " he who FINDS a wife, FINDS a good thing and obtaineth favor from God.

If u are truly aware that only God knows the future,then it is funny when u said it is unwise to go to a prophet,let me ask u,do u know the duty of the prophets?they deliver messages from God especially about the future,so op,do yourself a favour,make sure he is a true prophet,then he will tell u live and direct if the person is your partner or not.
