It's there performance in training that wanrrant Jones to take. If Rooney, RVP, Mata and Young arent starting, may be Jones is the best among the rest. Even if RVP is there, Jones might still take then RVP stationed in the box to score.

You don't understand. There were many serious situations match after match. The midfield was where opposition torn us opened and made the defence looked mediocre. There was a need to win duels in the of the park. Need to slow the game a little with few passing around, need to keep the ball, need to keep an aye on such gorrilas as Wanyamas, need to track back fast enough to prevent Harry Kanes from pacing in from the midfield, etc etc.

Rooney is the best to do these things for now.

there's nothing like Rooney hater or whatnot.. what I'm saying is that Rooney has got absolutely nothing on our midfielders to warrant him playing midfield for this team. if he cannot make the front line, then he should fall to bench - that is my opinion.

I don't quite agree. those guys don't generate anything near what Rooney brings into the club. I agree Rooney is overpaid, but he can't be on the level of Costa & Fabregas.
performance doesn't always translate pay package, there are other indices considered.

Rooney, Valencia, Jones... we were told would be benched. Nani, Kagawa,Chicharito, Zaha, Cleverley, Rafael, Evans, we were told will be the regulars. They don't always listen to me. I keep telling them practice is a different thing all together from theory. At this time last season they were fighting me on why Kagawa, Fabio and Chichi weren't playing. Today we know better. Kagawa did not score a single goal in 1172 minutes of EPL football. He was only lucky he was in a set up in Dortmund that favoured him way back.
