shud I tell u wat I analyzed asin... ventures dat the state can engage in dat is productive and wud bring development, jobs and more revenue to the state;
1) the state/ owerri is a base for hotels, and in dz hotels every time u check in u re given a towel, a soap and a toilet roll( based on hotels I ve lodged in don't know about others) ... what wud happen if the state or sm1 starts producing toilet rolls and supplying to the hundreds of Hotels in d state and if possible other states?... maintaining this wud increase revenue in the state, reduce capital flight and maintain a circular flow of income i.e instead of demanding fir toilet roll supplies from states like lagos thereby transffering that money there it cud be uses here.

Nnaa men. Nwa onye Igbo. You are repeating same thing. There are hundreds of water packaging industries in Imo State of which the Agbasos own Agad water which you should know. You do not have to lie to yourself in order to castigate Mr Okorocha. Most of the tissue papers and soaps used in Eastern region of Nigeria come from Aba which is an Igbo town right next to Owerri and Port Harcourt. Tura, Palmolive, Premier, Imperial leather etc are all manufactured there. It has imperative advantage just like Owerri has for hotel and Port Harcourt has for oil industry.

This b@stard what has Anambra got to do with this thread and your useless Imo state? I have warned you to always focus on your useless state and answer questions thrown to you instead of diverting attention. Anambra's economy is a diversified one from merchants to industrialization and now Oil and Gas etc, which kept attracting most of your graduates to Anambra and other states alike. Onitsha has combination of merchants and industries alongside the huge corporate bank population same with Nnewi while Awka is purely corporate society comprising civil servants and student. The economic equation is fully balanced.

Imo state as it is right now has one track economy which is brothel business that attracts mainly prostitutes to the state and nothing more and this ugly situation is not good for the state. The state need a sane governor that can move away from this trend and industrialize the state like Lagos, Rivers, Anambra, Kano etc has done. Most of the traders in Onitsha are mostly from Imo state who constitute at least 1/3rd of the city population.

Nwanne I've missed you. I cant wait for Jonathan to leave so that Nigeria will be safe again. I will reveal my identity and meet with some Nairalanders.

If former governors of Imo State had done most of the things Rochas is doing now, he(Rochas) would have been doing other things - they just wasted our resources for 12 years. We still need Rochas to complete the ongoing projects he has in Imo. He's promised us factories if given a 2nd term, Imo State has to continue with Rochas. Imo PDP is horrible because they have very greedy men who are only interested in sharing the little allocation of the state that's why Owelle is facing serious opposition. Imo must be better and we must achieve that by making sure we permanently keep away PDP from Douglas House. After Owelle, we'll try Capt Iheanacho in 2019, but my fear is that he may decamp to PDP, thus joining the crop of men that have caged Imo State for over 10 years. God bless Imo State.

I don't believe it's constitutional for the state to have a chapel. That's a completely ridiculous and barbaric concept that discriminates wholly against others. How can someone's tax money go to building a chapel when not everyone in Imo is christian or catholic to be specific.

You lie against Imo State just because you support Jonathan who has failed in Nigeria. Now you just mentioned a road neglected by Jonathan which Okorocha has complained about. Imo is not all about hotels and tourism if you must know. Ada palm is the largest palm plantation in Southeast Nigeria while Imo is the largest producer of oil and gas. A lot of oil and gas activities is going on here as well as agriculture. There are also medium scale industries in the State like Heineken/Consolidated at Awo, Jacobs wine at Oru, Decorkote paint at Orlu, Aluminium extrusion plant at Inyisi, Eagle keke plant at Akabo etc. They are in dozens but located outside Owerri and hence not noticeable for people like you.

That said Imo is definitely not an industrial State and I believe we should work on agricture and tourism as the backbone of our economy. All Igbo States should focus on one aspect of economy or the other in which tbey have imperative advantage and not try to engage in scattered economy trying to be like a country.

I am only in support of good governance. Both Hausas and Ijaws hate Igbos in case you dont know. Up till this day Ijaws who are not even from Rivers State are occupying hard earned properties of Igbos in old Port Harcourt township. If you doubt me try go live in Bayelsa or Kano and compare the two. You can even trade freely in Kano more than Bayelsa.

This is Orlu-Akokwa road at Urualla in Ideato South LGA. It is a rural area touched by Okorocha admin.

The people before Okorocha wasted our money and time in enriching few godfathers hence Okorocha emancipated us from them. Free education is one of the biggest moves in any part of the world. Basic infrastructure then industrialisation follows. By 2019 Imo State will have the best health care delivery system in Nigeria.

Do not unnecessarily disgrace yourselves.
I advice that you stop beating above your reach .

Owerri is nothing but hotels and 'hospitality' business..Those of you who glorify the town for such 'developmental strides' should note that if your sisters escaped the beckoning prostitution, your daughters might fall for it.

Am done with you, you can have your rubbish thread back.
