Seriously, I don't like buhari but I was very impressed. There was sense in what he said. His grammar was OK too, I didn't like the accent though! Nice one

Buhari was was absolutely right to call INEC - "Nigerian Electoral Commission" . This is clarity as on international media "National " doesn't convey meaning. The same way if you are talking about "National Population Commission" Which should be called Nigerian Population Commission when speaking internationally. The same applies to NAFDAC and several bodies that have the word "National" in them. Luckily the letter "N" covers both The words National and Nigeria.
Would you pass your exams if you are asked to give the full meaning of NPC and INEC and you say, Nigerian Population Commission and Nigerian Electoral Commision respectively?
Nagoma, please stop falling my hands...

Why then does he not want to partake in a debate? I mean, his responses haven't been too bad. He's communicating.
because the debate is being sponsored by Ait and Nta.raymond Dokpesi is a pdp chieftain,Nta is a government mouthpiece .u see why?

Truth be told,GMB after this interview would have won over more converts;the articulation, wide range of vocabulary and clear direction on the path he wants to take nigeria on is a marvel.
I can bet anything that even the military chiefs in cohort with Jonathan would start having second thoughts.
Is this the person GEJ wanted to debate against! I pity GEJ.
GMB is too right for Nigeria to miss this opportunity!

I was very impressed with the interview. Buhari gave direct answers to all the questions the woman asked him.. Even the woman was very impressed with the way buhari composed himself, spoke without fear or favor, and the confidence he displayed through out the interview. I love this part of the interview though;

The government is not serious about fighting the so-called boko haram - general Buhari

Kano state has the highest number of drug-addicts and drug-smugglers.
Buhari will have to kill half (and almost all of his almajiri supporters) of Kano state to achieve kworruption.

Every 'letter' has its meaning. If the letter 'N' is for 'National', use it for that. Don't come here to justify errors. What if our country starts with 'Q'?

The way he undermines them gladdens my heart. His epic retort to the Channel 4 correspondent in Kano was just classic - "What is Boko Haram?!"

Rawani:
"If people want to make money they should go out and work hard, not bring drugs and destroy Nigerian youth " - Gen. Buhari on drug pushers.
No wonder a certain section of this country notorious for drug trafficking are hell bent on frustrating his candidacy.
Unfortunately, he came from the section of the country that is notorious for using drugs.

There's a difference between drug abuse and Drug Trafficking. One carries a warning and pat on the wrist, while the other carries a death sentence. So because he comes from a region allegedly known for drug abuse, you assume he will not take action? Do you think we are talking about Jonathan here?

Re: INTERVIEW: Buhari On Al Jazeera.... #OPINIONS by Rawani: 9:49pm On Feb 08, 2015
General Buhari made it clear that he will not witch-hunt or investigate past corruption cases, but will draw a line from May 30th, and any official in charge of public funds from then on must be accountable, he emphasized that there are mechanisms already within Ministries which will make this possible; mechanisms which he explained, are ineffective at the moment, because a fish rots from the head (Jonathan).

This point is especially necessary to silence those questioning his ability to fight corruption, based on allegations that members of his party have corruption cases to answer.

This is a leader.

One thing I also noticed from his answers is the fact that he accepted responsibilities for all that happened when he was the military head of state. He tried to explain why they took the decisions then which was quite understandable. He debunked the allegations of the secret tribunal and the press muzzling decree. He never blamed anybody for the crisis, not even his successor. That's one attribute of a leader.

Secondly, he seemed very much composed and confident. This is another attribute of a truthful leader who has nothing to fear.

So the drugs being abused by hopeless youths all over the north is supplied from the South east?
I thought they were home made.
Shame on you guys.

You are a Yoruba guy, the world record for the highest amount of heroine ever ingested is held by a Yoruba woman Bola Adebisisi, she broke the record of a Yoruba man Yomade Aborishade. No one has been able to brake their records up till today.
The first and second world records on drug trafficiking are held by Yorubas yet you sit behind your intel 8080 computer and cast aspersions on the great Igbos.

I smiled when I heard him say that line. And another part I love is when he said; "Nigerians soldiers have successfully combated crisis in some Africa countries and have earned some international respect for themselves, so we dont know what has happened to them now. It is really embarrassing" - Buhari
