A temporary visa is like a transit or visitor's visa. To answer your question, you can only apply for a temporary visa if you are on transit via Australia or visiting someone or attending a conference etc... So, no you can't apply for a temporary visa in this situation

HELLO house....I M HEART BROKEN AND DEVASTATED,MY STUDENT VISA APPLICATION SUBCLASS 573 UNDER SVP WAS REFUSED ON THE GROUND THAT I WILL NOT GO BACK TO NIGERIA AFTER MY STUDY.i included both statement of account and affidavit of sponsorship together with a SOP stating my future plan with regards to the relevant of my proposed course to my future.i intended to enroll in a course that suits my employment background..it took them nearly 3months to assessed my application.i was so apprehensive about the delay that i have to called them on monday to ask them if i should apply for the extension of my starting date or defer my admission for the next semester,...but to my greatest surprise,the same day they sent me refusal notice without any cogent reason.....Although,i didnt apply in nigeria as i m currently residing in another country.

Meanwhile,i still intend to reapply again as i have already deferred my admission to the next semester,But i m worried about the chance of getting the visa ....will it be fine if i courier my application to pretoria because the AUSTRALIAN EMBASSY here doesn't assess any student here under SVP.In fact,they don't even have SVP checklist on their website or in their office.It seems as if they dont know about SVP or just a deliberate act.

please the house,i would need an advice or advices on how to go about it now....Is it wise to reapply again at the same embassy or send my application to Pretoria if it will be possible..?

By the way when one gets the PR, what is the longest he can delay relocating b4 the visa expires? Also if one has a family? How long for the family?

Metallurgical or Materials Technician is on SA sponsorship list, rather than going thru the MSc route. Assess as a Technician and get your PR first!

Wow..so sorry to here this...I am sure this is first refusal I am hearing about on svp.anyways I think you need to know the first reason your application was rejected.under svp which I put in my application,i didn't include bank statement despite the fact that I applied with my wife and my boy. I guess people here will help you out about suggestions.but I think first of all you need to know why it was rejected before making another move.svp isn't stressful, for all I know about it.
Wish you the best.keep pushing for it and never give up.

mostly in high court whc shud not be more Dan 3-5k, Any registered lawyer could do as well. they charged by how many pages or copies u have but u know it depends on how good u are in negotiation.

3-5k Did mine for just 300Naira at magistrate court. You can do same at same price in federal high court.

Anyways I think you should give it a try..if you can reapply in nija, it will be great.but you know you need to arrange it well and I hope you don't have immigration issues.this time give them a good reason not to refuse you.read pages back about people that applied too.it will help.It is well.

Have you made payment to UC? I think you should call and draw their attention to the fact that you didn't fill the GTE form and ask them to reconsider.

Let me clarify something, SVP does not mean that one will not show evidence of funds and intention to leave Australia after study, its just that the school has the burden of investigating instead of the DIBP. If you are working through an agent, the Agent is supposed to do the checks on behalf of the school, so its either agent, school or DIBP......a party has to check.

About USQ. you could follow up your application with them, however, they are not very fast . Edith Cowan might be able to give you an admission quickly (u probably have all the documents ready since u applied to UC), but they are more expensive than USQ.

My brother applied to USQ online and had issues, you can find their email below. The GTE form they mentioned here had to be filled 3 times before we eventually got COE. We filled first time and there wasn't enough money (this was before he got admission), and we got a response similar to what CU sent you. We wrote to them that we had more funds and also that we had providence (pension) savings that we didnt include. They asked for evidence of fund and we sent. They gave him admission and asked us to fill the form again. When we asked them to change campuses, we still filled the form again.

i notarised mine for 5k just one page at a notary public.. You could certify at a high court for not more dan 5h per page ( note dat even doctors, teachers, lawyers can certify whc is acceptable).. Never knw all dis until unsw gave me d hint.

Yea I just checked the school 'm applying to and they said their representative(agent) can certify the documents.I don't think I will be going to any high court
