The Enugu south local government authorities are planning to remove the trading activities currently going on inside the Kenyatta building materials market and all the surrounding streets like Edozie, Adelabu and Amawbia streets. So they have concluded arrangements to relocate all the traders to a newer permanent site along the Enugu/Port-Harcourt express way. Plans attached..........

So if you're interested in trading on building materials, why not buy a shop here and start selling building materials, as for me, I have collected their details and will be applying to buy a unit of shop from the market.

The amazing thing is how you can get your hands on clear and well detailed plans like those that are not even your projects but yet we have "Agents" on here that can't get the same clear and legible plans for their own projects

5 New Intl. airports Terminals all at same stage of completion.(Enugu,Port Harcort and Kano are exactly the same design and size.) (Abuja and Lagos are bigger)

Abuja
Kano
Enugu
Port Harcourt
Lagos Terminal is even a more sophisticated design than Abuja, and it is incorporated into the original design of the airport.

The H-design isn't bad at all. The PH, EN, and Kano airports, are at best, secondary international airports.
The terminals look like they would have a maximum of 2 avio-bridges; while Abuja and Lagos would have 6.

Love most of those pictures. I was in Enugu last year's February.
Stayed in part of town that i wasn't used to, La vic hotel in one day area off agbani rd.

The whole neighborhood was one big construction site. Even the hotel was brand new.

Someone really has to remind Enugu state government about marketing her tourism potentials.
The thought of a serene city lying at the base of an escarpment is enough to attract foreigners especially with the security and fair luxury that Enugu state offers.

In 2013, after watching a movie together at the cinema, I have not forgotten how a certain foreigner (looked Aussie) humbly sat at the pavement outside the Polo Park Mall and was admiring the city.

When I tell people that Enugu is one of the best cities in the world, they don't believe me. Tell me any other city that has three rivers, with natural beaches running across it. Unfortunately the state government has not tapped fully into the tourism potentials of Enugu.

Never noticed a 'H' design in the render or from the little we see of what's been built so far!

Serious Enugwu is not doing enough in marketing her tourism potentials, do you know that those lush hills towards Nsukka area could have cable cars that connect to them.
I love those lush hills die, if Enugwu should state invest in tourism and market her tourism potentials believe me the state will be seeing enough dough like Kenya because of the availability of the international airport there.

Spyder, I don't like those markets with their roofing, markets of such should be decked with concrete to make it more secure and still leave space for the top to be used.
Roofing markets make it vulnerable to security challenges and fire outbreaks

Serious the things that fuel tourism are very affordable and easy to fix.
There is an international airport
The crime rate in Enugwu is low or non existing.
Enugwu has good network of roads.
Enugwu is eco-friendly.
They have the potentials and the supporting infrastructures but what is lacking is marketing them.

East don't invest in marketing communications, developments in East are under reported while vices are overflogged.

Chaii those Hills in Enugwu with their green shrubs and surroundings, if a South Africa company should be contacted to harness them into its full potentials, forget the Safaris and Masai Parks of East Africa Enugwu will make it big by atleast cornering all the tourists from neighboring states

You have made a very powerful contribution in these posts, true we need to harness the tourism potentials of Enugu. Maybe Gburugburu will do something about it since he is from Nsukka and must know much about the hills. Welcome.

Guy when it comes to real estate, give to Umu-igbo.that is why i don't doubt it when they say we own 70% of the properties in Abuja because i know so well that other tribes don't really build super structures like us.cos for Ndi-igbo properties are not just for commercial purpose,it is also for pride and social prestige. In ala ofenmanu, aside Lagos, before you see houses of such quality and beauty, mehn e go be say the person way get the house en swag too much or na politician.private developers there don't build this kind of houses, neither do individual build such.they just build low quality houses that will start turning brown in less that a year.na only umu-igbo dey fit comot money build better property.that is why the governor of kwara state described the igbos as developers, that if you need your community to develop you have to welcome, accommodate and be nice to the igbos in your community.my head just dey swell when the man dey talk am,even one of my supervisor's estate agent was talking about how the igbos have bought the whole of Awolowo way and turning all the residential houses their to commercial property.he did not just say private developers which means he was generalizing.he particularly mentioned the igbos buying up the whole property there, for my mind i just dey talk say thank God he knows his people can't do such,na only igbos dey fit comot money, take risk build better property.make them dey there na, tomorrow them go one come claim wetin them no own.even here in ile-ife where am running a program, most of the best private hostels are owned by igbos, igbos are building there own private homes here in ife and the whole mayfair, obalufun, lagere, iremo, ede road down to ibadan road have been occupied by the igbo business men and the have brough life back to ile ife after a long recess due to the ife/modakeke crisis.

UMU-IGBO am proud of you all and am proud to be an igboman and i will not trade my people for anything in the world.long live alaigbo, long live umuigbo, long live biafra.

Nice work spyder smiley. But i think posting a pic of just one refuse dump would be enough to convey your message. Those refuse pics lowered the tone of the thread a bit: you don't post those type of pics if you're selling a city, but i understand you may have been looking for 'balance' b/4 peeps accuse you of only showing the nice parts of Enugu.

Manchy, you don't have to run others down to make your point about Enugu. Let's keep the thread 'happy'. smiley

Dear you never know me, am a very responsible gee, I know when to be serious and when to mudfight, I know where, how and who to engage aswell.

I never uploaded or write ill of any Igbo or Igbo States here but I do argue with them here when the need arise, I always state my point without making enemies, even some of those I argue with here are my friends in FB but everything that happens here stays here.

Am Buddahmonk and Igbomonk as well, I don't hide to cause any problem.

I stayed in Enugwu for 8months when I was seeking for admission, I just love the city, one of the most striking and captivating things I love about Enugwu is this, there I saw old men of 80yrs still visiting the stadium to come and watch a team they started supporting in the teens.

My brother was staying was at Obiagu Jungle, the place is a ghetto but there are many educated old people there, they don't talk about Chelsea or Man U, they refused to be corrupted by the EPL, even when Enyimba was ruling Africa, I did not for a day hear these old men talk ill of Rangers, I was so curious and I started asking people, the landlady Mrs Nnamani told me that Rangers is like a religion in Enugwu that the spirit rarely die. Even some old men still have old Rangers memorabilia in their rooms.
Because of this loyalty I concluded that Enugwu was the only surviving city in Nigeria because there is more to a city than just the residents earning a living and building mansions.

I love Edinburgh Rd, I love O'Connor street, I love Kumas Ebubechukwu but my best place in Enugwu is

Subwayyyyyyyyyy- that place reminds me of 8miles by Eminem.
I have never been to Enugwu without passing through the Subway, I will enter bus from Obiagu to Old Park but once we got to Stadium I will drop and pass through Subway, bust out to NEPA where those people sell articles, trees lined up the streets, I will get to Okpara Av and enter Bike to the same Old Park I paid to go.

@ bolded...developing and sustaining the development in our cities will be a lot easier if effort is being made to infuse the soul of city into the hearts of residents and indigenes. Making them see the city as theirs, it favors patriotism. Someone with such outlook will think twice before he goes ahead to litter bus stops with posters or drop trash indiscriminately on the street...
