Let's forget about whether it's sinful or not. I can assure u that if u have a deep seated, revelation inspired, personal relationship with christ (I don't mean just going to church and saying u are a Christian) u will discover that it is just impossible to deny Him under any circumstances.

Peter did, 3 good times.

And he is still St. Peter the apostle.

Peter's case was a prophesy that came to pass and besides he had a second chance...

It will be foolhardy to hold on to a delusion to the point of death. No one is stùpid enough to pull a stunt like that. Because in the end everybody knows god does not exist, they're only hoping he does.
Why do you think people praying to god for protection in a church will scatter in different directions at the sound of boko haram or a deranged man with a deadly weapon? Who wan die for the sake of a god that clearly doesn't exist. Hence the expression..everybody wan go heaven but nobody wan die. Self preservation is the first law of nature jare. God can wait..

My dear, it's worrisome to know that after the death of the living Christ Jesus 2000 years ago, there are still people who believe that God does not exist. Hosea 4:6 is indeed true.
May the same God whom you believe does not exist, have mercy on you

the person pointing a gun at you is a sinner and you dont need to prove how righteous u are to him by not denying christ!
ask your self, what would christ want me to do? to be shoot dead by this person? or to live and carry on christ name?

we all get misconception of many things about life... for it is said that wen man founds himself in a land were the food available in dat land is that which you forbid and God forbids you to eat them... but you are very hungry that u may die of hunger... u are allowed to eat that food to stay alive not becos u stil dont forbid it... but as of that moment dat food is blessed by God...
conderming ur self to death is a sin for your life is nt in d hands of anoda man... dont give him a chance to tk it...

You don't deny God under duress, that is not way to measure having faith in Christ. Jesus self cried unto God at the last minute to take away the cup from him despite knowing he's the saviour of men according to the scriptures.
So what are you saying?

@op, yes its a sin and like every other sin it can be forgiven by virtue of the grace of God. But we should be mindful not to abuse this grace. Romans 6:1-4

lets not be logical here, it's the worst sin a good Christian can commit against God, but as humans who love life, it's very difficult to accept

Daniel 3:16-30 New International Version (NIV)
Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to
him, “King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to
defend ourselves before you in this matter. If
we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God
we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will
deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. But
even if he does not, we want you to know, Your
Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or
worship the image of gold you have set up.”
Then Nebuchadnezzar was furious with
Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, and his
attitude toward them changed. He ordered the
furnace heated seven times hotter than usual
and commanded some of the strongest
soldiers in his army to tie up Shadrach, Meshach
and Abednego and throw them into the blazing
furnace. So these men, wearing their robes,
trousers, turbans and other clothes, were bound
and thrown into the blazing furnace. The
king’s command was so urgent and the furnace
so hot that the flames of the fire killed the
soldiers who took up Shadrach, Meshach and
Abednego, and these three men, firmly tied,
fell into the blazing furnace.
Then King Nebuchadnezzar leaped to his feet
in amazement and asked his advisers, “Weren’t
there three men that we tied up and threw into
the fire?”
They replied, “Certainly, Your Majesty.”
He said, “Look! I see four men walking around
in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the
fourth looks like a son of the gods.”
Nebuchadnezzar then approached the
opening of the blazing furnace and shouted,
“Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, servants of
the Most High God, come out! Come here!”
So Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego came out
of the fire, and the satraps, prefects,
governors and royal advisers crowded around
them. They saw that the fire had not harmed
their bodies, nor was a hair of their heads
singed; their robes were not scorched, and there
was no smell of fire on them.
Then Nebuchadnezzar said, “Praise be to the
God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, who
has sent his angel and rescued his servants! They
trusted in him and defied the king’s command
and were willing to give up their lives rather than
serve or worship any god except their own God.
Therefore I decree that the people of any
nation or language who say anything against the
God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego be cut
into pieces and their houses be turned into piles
of rubble, for no other god can save in this way.”
Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach
and Abednego in the province of Babylon.

If someone is told to deny Christ or acknowledge another religion or god under the threat of death, is it sinful to give in out of fear? I know modern culture doesn’t demand this kind of heroic virtue, but in Revelation 2:10, Jesus says, “Be faithful unto death."
Is it sinful to deny Christ under threat of death?
Once you denied Christ under whichever circumstances, you shut yourself out of the kingdom of God permanently. Stay put, and you will see the salvation of God. Thank you.

Matthew 10:33 "But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven."
