I am Yoruba from Lagos state and here are things I love about other ethnic groups:
Hausas: very hospitable, very transparently honest, accomdating, open hearted, simple, not materialistic. The NYSC experience I had serving in Kebbi state will remain in my memory for as long as I live. The respect they had for me despite my difference is ethic group, langauge and religion remains in my memory. When I fell sick, the entire Yauri community took care of me even though they didn't speak English and I couldn't speak Hausa. Our bike fares as corper was reduced and all okada men took pride in giving corpers rides on their okadas. God bless Yauri Kebbi state and the entire hausa nation.
IBOS: very industrious, hardworking, ambitious. I have never seen an ibo begger in my life. They also help each other a lot. They are eachothers' big brothers and sisters.God bless igbo kwenus!
South south: Warri, binis, Isoko, Urhobos are very funny, very blunt, open minded and with giving spirit, generous toa fault even if they are poor. They are also proud of their villages and cultures even abroad and in cities. Bless una oh!
Yorubas: we are very accomodating, fashionable, humane, social, love education, very hardworking, proud of our language, tolerant of other people and their culture, firm believers in parental and collective discipline, and not forgetting our world acclaimed owanbe parties! Even oyinbos tell me Yoruba parties are interesting with our dances and rounded asses.
Efik: beautiful and natural looking women, fashion conscious even on their deathbed, they love being young and if u call an Efik woman mama or mummy, you go hear wen! Very good cooks, nice cuisine, very accomodating and friendly, unpretentious about their sexuality and generous. God bless Nigeria and its people.

The only reasonable post
Re: What Are The Things You Like About Other Ethnic Groups And Tribes? by Eke40seven(m): 9:29pm On Nov 04, 2014
Nice topic, but am not really satisfied with the little attention and contributions on the topic because if it were to be a war like topic, this thread could have gone haywire with posts left right and centre...well let me shut up and contribute.

YORUBA
They have that undying love for their culture and language and they can party hard. No matter their level of education, you cannot take those traits away from them. They are a bit laid-back and do not like troubling or stressing themselves much for wealth (at least not the hard way by Igbo standards). There is a long established framework for literacy in most of their states and many have taken advantage of that for their betterment. They are comfortable with their homeland and are less explorative of other regions and countries (by Igbo standards) except of course the UK, Canada and US. They can be very nice and welcoming when they want to, although a bit two faced sometimes but are free and are not prone to cheating.

URHOBO:
I did my service their heartland and know them to a sufficient level. They are damn funny, even when they don't intend to be. I see the reason why some of the comedians from there do not find it so difficult to crack jokes. Even before they open their open, am already all over the floor cracking my ribs. They honestly do not even know they are being funny, that's even the thrill. Their women are the most hardworking I have ever seen. They even take the place of the men as bread winners whilst playing their role of the housekeeper. This shows in their muscular built. Their men love to have fun with Sapele Water, banga and starch. kaikai is king! with good bushmeats. I love their pigeon English, so sweet. and their use of the exclamation "shoo", "kwoo" and "wuoo" depending on the mood is so funny, as they tend to use it all the time and be sure that a 100 year old illiterate woman in the village will better whatever pidgin English you can muster except you are from that region. Physical beauty may not be their forte (majority though) but they are lovable people. They have the longest names I have ever seen of any tribe (at least the full versions)
whether in Warri, Sapele, Ughelli, Oghara, koko, Mosogar, Abraka, Jesse, there is always something to laugh about.....and their kids are very very sharp.

HAUSA
They are known for their strength and good stamina and not forgetting structure. They are very hardworking and content with whatever life brings to them as far as food is provided enough for the day's survival. They are simple and love their tradition and religion. The business men among them are so dedicated to it. I love their communal spirit.
The are by far the most honest ethnic group (the ones not yet corrupted by life in the big southern cities).
They are very lovable too. I have never cone across one aboki that I hate, although the sad events in the north is a shocking paradox

I will limit myself to these three because of sufficient first hand experience with them. Others that I know are on individual level which may not be sufficient. The rest are based on hearsay and general stereotypes going round in the society.
It will not be appropriate for me to talk about the Igbos on this thread since am one.

1. Igbo:They are industrious and has a good business sense (I particularly envy them for this). I'm in love with their music, though I'm Yoruba, I have quite a no of ibo songs and I've got few dance steps to them (folks in church kinda confused about my trive cos of dis). I love dem girls too (dated some few). I love the igbo language itself, I'm fascinated whenever I see 'conc' igbo guy blow away in thick igbo speech.

2. Calabar: They are good songstars. Theur delicacies are yummylicious. Them girls are pretty. They've got great cultures and their language is amusing and hilarious

3. Hausa : love their simplicity ( a sharp contrast to my culture). Their girls are pretty. They are honest people. They form a bond amongst themselves and stick together come rain' come shine.

4. Edo: funny and witty people, they are productive, can't say much about em sha.
BTW, I don't care about tribe. Dated hausa, igbo, yoruba, Benin republic gals before. God bless all the grin tribes. God bless Nigeria. Ise, Ase, Amin! cheesy grin

Floor Stripping and Re-Finishing
Over time, the floor will exhibit a deterioration in appearance and quality. It might be necessary to strip the old polish off to prevent buildup, and do a thorough cleaning of the floor to prevent permanent damage.
Burnishing – High Speed Floor Care
Periodic buffing with a high-speed burnisher will remove most scuff marks and light scratches. Buffing will add luster while dislodging dirt and blending touch-up spots with the original finish.
Environment-Friendly Chemicals
At CHOGON CLEANING SERVICES Cleaning Systems Nigeria, we make sure that we use environment-friendly chemicals to maintain your floors. The degree of luster and sheen of your floors depends on the pedestrian and industrial traffic, and on how much shine you desire to have on your floors.
CHOGON CLEANING SERVICES Cleaning Systems Nigeria is the right partner for protecting your floors to maintain its quality and extend its life-span.
Call us now and let us help you keep your floor looking as good as new.
Carpet and Upholstery Care and Maintenance
Carpet and upholstery maintenance must be established as a scheduled program. Most often, it is a random series of reactions to soiling conditions and infrequent cleaning. If proper maintenance is neglected, the carpet’s and the upholstery's appearance will suffer, shortening its useful life and raising long-term costs.
A comprehensive carpet care program consists of the following four elements:
• Reduction of soil entering the building
• Removal of dry soil
• Removal of spots and spills
• Cleaning by hot water extraction, a.k.a. Wet Method, or by Dry Extraction Method.
We offer both one-time carpet and upholstery cleaning services and/or regular care and maintenance services customized to each client's needs and requirements.
CHOGON CLEANING SERVICES Cleaning Systems Nigeria has the total solution for all your carpet cleaning needs...

High Pressure cleaning
CHOGON CLEANING SERVICES Cleaning Systems Nigeria does high pressure cleaning in numerous applications. When cleaning with high pressure, the machines that are used are of different types.
When performing high pressure cleaning, there are three things that have to be considered:
1. 1) Heat
2. 2) Pressure
3. 3) Waterflow
Each of these plays a crucial part in reaching the cleaning result desired. Other factors that have to be considered are:
1. a) the chemicals being used
2. b) fuel consumption
3. c) other related factors
CHOGON CLEANING SERVICES Cleaning Systems also offers high pressure cleaning with hot water for many applications, such as:
1. Cleaning of building exteriors.
2. After-a-fire cleaning of buildings.
3. Removal of certain types of mold/mildew infestations.
4. Cleaning of walls and ceilings in areas that can tolerate moisture.
Hot water high pressure cleaning is also a part of CHOGON CLEANING SERVICES Cleaning Systems' Nigeria integrated specialized cleaning services.
Soda Blasting
CHOGON CLEANING SERVICES Cleaning Systems Nigeria uses soda blasting mostly in demanding and delicate cleaning projects.
Soda blasting is the true coating removal application. The blasting media used is baking soda. The soft, sharp granules of the baking soda are used to clean, degrease and remove paint or graffiti from many surfaces WITHOUT or with very minimal to no damage to the surface cleaned.
Baking soda (Sodium Bicarbonate) is 100% non-toxic and enviromentally friendly. It is not dangerous in any way unlike other blasting materials. Soda treats the surface much better than the previous known blasting material: sand, which can also be hazardous to the user.
The applications where CHOGON CLEANING SERVICES Cleaning Systems uses Soda Blasting are :
• Removing paint and soot from houses (removing soot from the burned surface, and so on)
• Removing paint and dirt from engine and hydraulic parts that is difficult to clean
• Disinfection of areas (food service disinfection)
• Disinfection of houses with mould/mildew infestation
• Cleaning of stone surfaces that is difficult to clean (floor tiles, walls, bridges, etcetera)
• Removing of graffiti
• Cleaning of badly burned houses after a fire
• Removing bitumen from glass and metal
• Removing baked on carbon and grease on food equipments
• Restoring engine frames, wings and parts from the aviation industry
• Removing paint and varnish from wood
• Removing concrete from glass and metal
• Detecting cracks on parts and structural joints
Soda blasting can be applied to numerous surfaces. These include aluminium, stainless steel, wood, glass, brick, steel, concrete and natural stone (sandstone, lime, marble) and more.
Soda blasting removes and cleans difficult substances quickly and easily including rubberized tar, spray sealers, surface treatments, epoxy resins, resurfacing concrete and many more.
No other existing method can remove such difficult to remove substances as quickly, effectively and efficiently than Soda Blasting.
Soda blasting is part of CHOGON CLEANING SERVICES Cleaning Systems Nigeria's integrated specialized cleaning solutions.
