Bro, don't let anyone tell you, you can't do something. You won't be the first person working to sponsor himself through school in Canada and you won't also be the last. Your program allows for 6 months coop which is good for you to make some bucks, and you could also take a further semester off if need be to get more.

If you can scale the hurdle of visa processing then good for you. Come here and devise legit means of sponsoring yourself
you took the words from my mouth...

So I can tell the VO that my salary doesn't reflect on bank statement and also submit it alongside my payslips because I recieve money from other sources into my account.
Please someone should help answer this issue based on experience as most people face this deliama.
How can we tackle this issue when your salary dont reflect on your bank statement but funds from other source reflects on it.

Am in your shoes too, I receive my salary cash. Am using my personal savings account, my letter of introduction and leave letter. That's enough. Some peeps only used leave letter. You're OK, my opinion though.

Please have a friend of mine wish to study in Canada for bsc in Economic and he is 34yrs of age. I don't want to discourage him that he is over age for acquiring BSC.so I told him I will help him make enquiries how to go about it.

Please what are the steps he will make to get admission and chances of getting study visa. He only has national diploma in computer science at Yaba college of tech. 2006. He has no test score(toefl, sat, gmat)

There is no age limitation in acquiring knowledge. Even if you are 95years old, and wanna go for Diploma, as long as you have genuine reason of pursuing the programme and you have evidential documents to back your story. Story of what you have been doing since the last time you studied in academic environ till now, what motivated you to go back to school, and what you intend doing with the knowledge will make your story worth reading and interesting.
Pls. don't limit yourself. It's good to know your limitations and defy them. I've read two different stories of senior citizens who got their first degree above 60years of age in UK. I also read online about an elderly man from Asia or so, who was above 50 and got visa to pursue his degree in Canada.
I wish you all the best.

Not every company in Nigeria pay staff salaries into a bank account, so payslip should suffice.

Hi house pls my cousin jus got admission into University of Manitoba for postgraduate study and wants to apply for visa but has no job presently. How can the visa application be done with just the sponsors SOA and other docs but no employment docs for him. He resigned his job and has been doing some small business.Has anyone been in this situation. The sponsor is a parent, his concern is if the VO will have issues with the fact that he's nt working.

Plz when did he receive the offer and what term... I am also waiting their decision too

what do you guys think about this paragraph in my SOP... HIT? or MISS?

It should be noted that I haven’t undergone the National Youth Service corp (NYSC) program which all graduates are expected to undergo. I intend to come back and undergo the programme as it is the only way I can legally be at the helms of affairs at my dads company, As without it I cannot successfully bid for a contract. A situation which would spell doom for the company and throw about two decades of hard work of my dad into the bin.

There is nothing you can do if you can't afford to pay fees and maintain yourself throughout your stay in Canada. No agent can help you only if you want to be scammed.

I didn't mention I can't sponsor myself I sai I don't know how to go about it, I want to work and study there, I don't know what the cost is what am expected to have and how/steps I can go through to achieve my dreams that's why I came here to ask for help, I believe there are experts and more knowledgeable people on this aspect.

You can work and study, your work can take care of your bills; phone, house rent, grocery, etc but it can't cover your tuition and fees.

You can chase your dream, the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dream. Don't let any sadist or anybody discourage you. Just plan yourself well and you'll be fine.

Cheers! smiley

I don't know much about Humber or it's reputation in eastern Canada.. But when it comes to western Canada (Alberta and BC),
Most employers look out for grads of U of C, U of A, U of V, UBC, SAIT, NAIT and BCIT. SAIT is excellent if you can get the Visa. You are very lucky to have been offered admission at SAIT. Congrats!
