I don't think it is a fallacy. Toyota sienna is mini van and not in any way tuned for sports even though it has a v6 engine. A golf 4 with 1.8L will outrun it on a track trust me. E be like say this ur Toyota sienna dey too shack u, abi na that v6 engine dey deceive u.

A 2008 Honda civic with 1.8L engine and 140hp has 0-60 of 7.7 seconds against 1999 sienna which has over 9 seconds to get to 60.

The civic has a top speed of 220+km/hr but ur sienna will not go faster than 180km/hr.

The civic has a lower center of gravity and lighter against ur Sienna's high ground.

You can see bro there's no way ur sienna will beat the civic in a race. I remember when u were thinking that sienna will beat an i4 EOD lol. I really laugh. Next time when u see a civic outrun u, don't just try chasing it as u might end up crashing ur car.

Do u also know a 2005 Honda accord 3.0 v6 with 240hp will chew a Toyota 4 runner with 4.7L v8 and 260hp?

If u think I'm lying, let the pros do justice to it.

Yes the civic will beat me and the EOD will get there B4 me but saying those junks will chew me up, its a big time fallacy. Let them pick on their own size not me, the sienna may be hefty but it aint taking shit from nobody.

1. I'm not the one that said a civic will chew u (even though it would)

2. If u think a 2008 civic and a 2003-2005 Honda Accord are junks, then what would u call a 1999 Toyota Sienna (no pun intended)

3. Since u think those cars should pick on their sizes, I wonder what u were thinking when engaging an Audi A4 in a race? (I4 vs V6 I guess).

Anyway, enjoy ur ride, life is sweet and pls take it easy on those corners (I know u are a speed demon), life no get duplicate grin

Try not to challenge any Volkswagen turbo charged engine. I once had my own fair share of embarrassment. Raced with a 2.4l Camry against 1.8t Passat. even at 200km/h I was only tailgating the Passat. I just wish I can hit the road with that same driver from Cotonou as we travelled southwest again but I will be needing a 3.5l Camry probably a manual tranny to clean up the mess. @nurey 1999 sienna couldn't deliver when I raced with a benz ml350 and on a separate day with a 2007 Range Rover sports. I'm a throttle happy fellow I hate to see cars on my rear mirror while driving. TrYing to see if this new baby can deliver

I never said I challenged the audi not to talk of a turbocharged one for that matter, it was just intimidating me with its exhaust roar nah, we were in traffic and I am sure it would and will always beat me hands down.

As for those your civic and EOD they are fast but I still maintain my stand, they will beat me but will never come close to chewing me up.

I don't race with a car I know its handling prowess, besides I have never exceeded 130km/h in that sienna I still need to enjoy life a little bit, I only do 100-120km/h when overtaking, if not 80km/h is enough for me.

One thing I don't do is race with a german machine, they have over all better handling than japanese brand even the so called golf, may be miniature but its got demon speed. You now took the race to challenge a range rover which may be packing 3times the hp of the sienna.
I have only gone against two vehicles that I know the driver were racing me
1. I pissed off this man driving a v8 2004-2008 toyota 4runner at CMS I was mad the man wanted to intimidate me cause he was in a jeep, so I didn't budge even though he was driving rough when the road was clear the man stepped on it and I decided to tease him and I stepped on the gas too, but I couldn't hold on, the guy beat me, I wasn't surprised

2 a second generation land rover freelander 2006-2015, the car had no plate number but the driver was trying to impress a girl who was his passenger at almost 130km/h on the express the guy stayed by my side throughout and kept on looking side ways I gave him the run of his life till we parted ways I didn't win neither did I lose.

Another good fallacy
Not a fallacy. Its the truth. I currently drive a 2010 Honda Civic EX Coupé with a 1.8l engine. Guy, please pray not to meet me on the highway especially if you are driving a Toyota. I know where and how to get you.

The Civic might be small both in body and engine capacity, but it is practically sharp and fast and packs a Lotta surprise when you underrate her...

You are 100% right bro, at 100km/h the car starts feeling the beat small small, at 120km/h the beat gets to the steering and the driver starts feeling it too, I have never surpassed 130km/h but I know it will get worse at that speed. higher than 130km/h the car starts feeling the smallest vibration on road and tends to sway it isn't easy maintaining a straight line again me don't surpass 80-100 I only do higher when overtaking and I never race motorist intentionally with that car, it aint a speedster, it aint a sport car but its a reliable, durable, able, controllable, intimidatable MINIVAN. Now that's a monster on wheels, ground clearance doesn't determine stability really, its about what shocks and co were fixed. A full size lincoln navigator 1st generation will remain stable on speeds in excess of 140km/h.

I can easily do 180km/hr in my highlander 2.4L i4 awd without any drama, rather when I enter some un even road surface which collapse due to foundation settlement, all I notice is a subtle body movement. I do 120km/hr most times on the express within Abuja and I do this with one hand resting on steering second hand on arm rest.

The handling prowess of german, italian, American will surpass their japanese counter part the audi Q3 or Q5 or the VW tuguain
will most likely have a better handling than the lexus or highlander, I have always noticed the germans are always way ahead than the japanese sedan to sedan Suv to suv.

But that doesn't mean the japanese vehicles aren't good, what they lack in top notch handling and state of the art luxury they makeup for it in reliability.

Don't always believe the negative criticism against japmobiles. Some jap mobiles will give European and American cars a run for their money in most aspect. Godzilla is one such car, mitsubishi evo 2.0l i4 awd is another, supra mk series is another, suzuki impreza wrx awd is another. I don't follow what's written on internet always.

A mitusbishi evo will tail a lambo murceliago LP640 and handle very well, both on tarmac and in wet, same with a suzuki, a Skyline GTR always gives hard knocks to most German super cars, yet its cheaper, it handles epic. Supra engines 2J with turbos are being transported into merc 190 in some parts and these are Japmobiles.

There japanese cars which can easily churn close to 1000bhp
just by turning some wrench and tweaking some ECUs.

Infiniti is now likened to Japanese beemer, as acura is to audi and lexus is to mercedes. They're doing very great.

Anyone looking down at Asian cars does that at their peril.

Nissan Altima 3.5 se...That car is a beast,I throttled down to 200kmph along Lekki Epe express road with ease on several occasions.
In fact, it is still the best Japanese car I have driven in recent time. However, nothing can replace German engineering and their well built machines.

I'm a bit startled in some of the comments here.

I haven't handled Sienna before but I'm surprised by the handling comments here.

With my '96 Camry (orobo), I do 120km/hr in Aba–PH express almost every week without any handling issues. I have done 130km along Elele–Owerri road. 145km in Ughelli–Warri express...

Does it mean Camry handles better than Sienna and Highlander?

My favourite sleeper of all time would be the mb 190 2.5 16. Produced in the late 1980s, it could generate 205hp, and had a 7s 0 - 60mph time. there was no turbo in the engine, just bigger cylinder, and mechanical valve lifters. on the highway it looked like your typical 190, even the spoilers were modest. u could only start to suspect when the 'baby benz' started to grow larger and larger in the rearview mkrror of your overpriced cosmetically endowed sedan.
