You and Madame should ensure you see a gynecologist ASAP. Don't waste your time going to all those stupid deliverance sessions as advised by some here they will only worsen your wife's case by filling you guys with enough NEGATIVITY through dumb stories about spirits e.t.c You and your wife need all the positives you can get. |

worriedhusband:I am so sorry to hear of your misfortune. You are not alone I am sure. I am not a gynecologist, but I did have brief training in it. There are a number of factors that could be contributing to recurrent pregnancy loss. You need to go to a fertility specialist or just a plain gynecologist and get a thorough workup. Factors range from hormonal imbalance, anatomic/structural, autoimmune. About 40% of all recurrent fetal loss are idiopathic or unknown. So, there might never be a medical solution for you. In this case, pray and wait. OR just try adopting or try surrogacy. Have you heard of lupus anticoagulant? Antiphospholipid syndrome? Anticardiolipn? Just go and see reproductive specialist (or perhaps a GP): your doctor needs to get a thorough history from you wife and perform workup/exam/lab evaluation for her. Best wishes. I say keep trying and believing though, albeit the cycle of pain is something else. |

@worried husband, buy enough megabytes. U and ur wife should go tru from page one to the last of trying to conceive thread here. There r cases like urs there and how they were treated and by whom. Also,i suggest u give it a break for like 2yrs. Let her body heal properly. There is nothing spiritual about this abeg. With competent hands u r good to go but first, stop trying. Most people advocate allowing miscarriage to flow normal than evacuation cos some of our health professionals have rendered some women barren thru unhealthy evacuation. There r things one take to induce labour and after that,go to hospital for proper antibiotics and scan. That way,u r sure d womb is not tampered with. All d best. |

bluedaze:Shes's saying the truth. The wife's rhesus needs to be checked. if she's negative and the husband is positive, it can lead to the problem they are currently having. Also Op ur wife's immunity needs to be checked. its possible she has Natural Killer cells and other immunity issues. A simple drug like prednisolone of N900 takes care of it but it needs to be ascertain that its part of the root cause. Also blood thinners like aspirin works wonders with early pregnancy up to 12weeks hence most IVF Drs use it during routine IVF procedure. Read more on the TTC group and IVF group. Secondly when your wife takes in again try to see a fertility expert, they are very good in managing early pregnancies. The fact that your wife can get pregnant on her own means half of your problem is solved. The only issue is managing the pregnancy and with a good Fertility Dr who can check her immunity, rhesus factor and adding aspirin to her protocol in addition to progesterone injection you should achieve results this time around. All the best. Above all pray. |

OP I feel your pains and agony. I will say that you seek the face of God diligently. Medically, I advise you see a better Gynea and a fertility expert. Some of the doctors we have around don't know their work, all they are after is money. I heard a story of a lady who had this same issue and there was a hospital where she was admitted somewhere in Ibadan, I was told she was admitted for months as the doctors were monitoring the baby's growth, to cut long story short she is a happy mother today. You can ask and make more inquiries about this. I will also get in contact with the person who told me the story about the name and location of the hospital and keep you abreast. Once again you must visit fertility experts and hospitals for proper treatment. Be positive and everything will fall into place. |

As others have said focus on Jesus the greatest physician, you also need to look at the issue of Rhesus compatibility for examples if you are A+ and she is A- she will need to take an injection called D'rogam failure to take the injection by women with Negative Rhesus may lead to such issues and having deformed babies |

Op, It is well. Take heart. Has either of you by any chance taken any vaccinations in the past 3years? If so this may be your problem. Avoid taking any medication including malaria meds unless it is absolutely necessary. worriedhusband: |

I empathize with you. Try see other qualified gynecologists. And don't stop trusting God. He verily surfaces when all human efforts and knowledge has been exhausted! Meanwhile, I pray: let the power of every satanic force involved in this case be destroyed in the Name of Jesus. Amen! Surely, you, your wife and children will live to testify of God's divine intervention. |

Ruthiegeorge:Good answer. But a Rhesus negative woman pregnant by a positive male would likely lead to this kind of problem. It is unlikely she can correct her problem if the medication wasn't taken during the first delivery But its a good place to start, by checking her Rhesus factor |

GogetterMD:@ op, of all the advice I see on this forum, this is the most informed. The problem is possibly autoimmune. See a rheumatologist. |

Ruthiegeorge:Be strong OP, help is on the way..the situation is very redeemable. Forget this Rhesus factor crap as its only if your wife is Rh -ve and has given birth to Rh +ve baby or carried such baby to term before. There are various causes of unviable pregnancies. In a layman's language, an unviable pregnancy is a pregnancy that cannot form a normal baby and will ususally abort spontaneously (itself) and so is better terminated earlier so it doesnt cause grave complications. Your wife needs a specialist (A doctor that has specialized in obstetrics nd gynaecology) for full medical workup and she needs to be as truthful nd detailed as possible in the responses she'll be giving. Common causes of abnormal or unviable pregnancies in this environment are herbal concotions, drugs, diseases like diabetes mellitus (v. important), molar pregnancies etc so she really needs a complete workup. |

Visit a decent doctor. Sadly not all women can safely give birth. It's not her fault, it's not your fault - just a biological quirk. |

Hello worriedhusband, I'm so sorry about what you're going through. Firstly prayers are the most important thing. I'll suggest you keep on in your search for the best gynaecologist. Also you can research online yourself as sometimes, it might just be a little thing that you may both need to adjust in your lifestyle. Knowledge they say is power. Adopt a healthy lifestyle and try not to be stressed because that's another bad factor. If you were in lagos, would have recommended Smiths Medical @ surulere. I hope this helps. |
