There must be a very valid reason and even then, it's not for everyone.

If you job requires you posses one, say like if you're a member of the police force, then yes. But even then, not all police officers are entitled to carry such weapons. I think it's for those in special units.

Here it is legal to carry one in the open if you've never had a record of violence or misdeed or prior convictions.even ordinary traffic ticket can disqualify one.

but if you want to carry it concealed, you must have a special license for concealed weapon.
