How many sick days have you taken off to do interviews
If the sick days are so much.. you really need to change ur job

You may need to request for a one day leave to attend to a personal issue

I am travelling for a friend's wedding this weekend. So, I already have Friday off. And this just came this morning. So, am in some kind of a dilemma.

I haven't taken any sick day out yet. I wanted to travel out today but I think I would just leave after work and call in sick tomorrow. And then travel back again after the interview. So, am hoping to be at work on Thursday morning.

And, who doesn't want a better job? And a better job...and a better job.

Hmmm...I did think of it. And am still thinking of it. It's only the thought of disappointing someone who has put so much hope in me and whom I had made promises to that is disheartening.

@zicoraads, it's just a day you need right? Excuses are many to choose from but stating a family emergency usually works best.. however, I hope they don't know you as someone who asks for day-offs a lot, it will start to wear very thin.

Alternatively, the relationship you have with your immediate boss also matters a lot. . . sometimes you need not even make stuff up but just tell him/her the truth and you're home-free.
