I sense a kind of protection from the judiciary. This won't be the first time though. Terrorists are arrested and all of a sudden, no lawyer wants to take the case, next a jail break and they are released or the most annoying, they are released for lack of whatever the judiciary decides to use.

There seems to be a subtle protection from these muslim judges on these terrorists.

Sometimes been a witness is not by choice, the police sometimes get an order to arrest the said witness or issue a bench warrant if the witness refuses to appear to testify in a criminal matter.
