Blame Ferguson for ignoring such players with potentials to be the world best. Even many of United fans usually prove to know too much. Always crying about how a player is too expensive or the money put on a players head is too much blablabla.

If SAF had even put 50 million pound on Neymar, our fans in this thread would have crucified him. When I first came here, may felt I was overrating and over hyping Neymar. They said he would flop just like the other Brazilians that were over hyped previously. But I said Mba, Neymar would rule. He immediately responded with Conferedation cup, yet there were still doubters. When he started playing for Barca some said they didnt see anything special even though he was doing magnificently well.

I have always been of the opinion that we should spend and bring in some of the best players. We lost it when we didnt bring in such players like Modric, Bale, Moura, Aguero between 2008 and 2011 when Ronaldo asked to leave. We should have strengthen and strengthen the super squad that won the 2008 UCL.

When Man United is not there, or fail to qualify from group stage, the rest EPL teams are not inspired. United has to return to UCL next season.

you never know what to expect from brazilians. for every neymar that has clicked, you have a truckload of brazilians that have flopped massively.

Can't remember us chasing Neymar but
I followed Hazard transfer saga and I remember it was between us and Chelsea and we lost him.
I won't lie,I like the fact we don't usually spend money like our rivals but we dominate the league for so long.
We can't do this anymore which is why I think we'll spend even more come next season.

I never for once doubted Neymar. The very first time I saw him play their local league and friendly matches for Brazil, I knew he would be great. His play was so direct, with dribbling and pace, then he was scoring with ease. He could go through the middle and the wing unlike the other guys who were only dancing in the wings and appeared to score by luck.

there was no value in the market when ronaldo left.......the best we could get then was tony valencia & he delivered that season with his one traffic football.

Before the arrival of Roman to Chelsea or maybe it was before the Glazers purchased the club, we usually spend big we broke a transfer record to get Ferdinand and I think we paid a lot of money for Roy keane, remember Veron ?

How come we couldn't get any of the very best in the world at the time? Romario,Stoichkov (is that the spelling?), Hagi, Bebeto, Lizarazu, Zidane, Ronaldo Lima, Ronaldinho, Figo, Roberto Carlos, etc.

The destination for the best of players have never been Manchester United. We always lost out in race to signing big players if at all we ever indicated interest.
