coogar:If Scholes isnt tired after 51 games, How come Terry, Ivanovic , Arsenal players City players who currently have less than 30 games as at now are complaining of being tired? |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by coogar: 9:44pm On Mar 20, 2015 |
raumdeuter:less than 30 games? are you crazy? terry has played 39 games this season & we are talking about high intensity games. in 98/99, only about 2 teams give united the shakes. these days, there are more than 8 quality teams that would match united or chelsea pound for pound. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by raumdeuter: 10:14pm On Mar 20, 2015 |
coogar:8 quality teams match Chelsea? you must be having a laugh. who are these quality teams? Man Utd won the league on the last day in 99, I bet Chelsea would win with 3 games to spare this season Terry has played 39 games, He wont play any CL, Carling, FA cup again So max number of games Terry would play is 49 which is still less than Scholes 51. If Scholes wasnt tired at 51, So terry and co are tired at 39 or less? |

raumdeuter:how many quality teams did scholes face in 99? hell, how many minutes did he play in those 51 games? |

Paul Ince has rejected the idea that Ryan Giggs will be the man to replace Louis van Gaal as Old Trafford boss, claiming that the Welshman isn’t anywhere near experienced enough. Giggs himself has in the past been said to want to become manager. Yet Ince has moved to quash that theory as he believes there’s a far more viable candidate who also coincidentally happens to be an ex-student of Sir Alex Ferguson. "To be Man United manager you need broad shoulders and take a lot of criticism. Roy (Keane) has broad shoulders and he is mentally tough. Things don’t affect him, "He has a poker face, doesn’t show if things are affecting him, and there is no reason why Roy couldn’t go back to Manchester United as manager. When asked about Giggs' prospects though, Ince was less confident. "No chance, you’ve got to go to a club that you can learn from and get experience. He’s not ready for Man United." coogar:The level Arsenal of 99 was playing, No team in current EPL is playing at that level. Scholes played Bayern, Juventus, Ronaldo and Baggios Inter Milan, Barcelona. No EPL team this season has faced that much fire |

I have said I noticed players go hard Falcao, Di Maria and even Rooney. They tackle them so hard that they have to let go some 50-50 balls. Only one referee has done a good job protecting Di Maria and Falcao. Hopefully next season these guys will adjust. |

Key quotes from Louis van Gaal's Friday Press Conference: On Carrick's new contract: "He's important because he can read the game as a player on the pitch, so he can coach during the game, but he can improve. Carrick is a MF who can play the ball forwards + I like that. Our aim is always passing the ball forward, not sideways or backwards. Rooney is my first captain, Carrick is my second. That says enough of how much I value these players." On Injuries: Marcos Rojo and Luke Shaw are not fit enough to start for United at Anfield but may be on the bench. Robin van Persie has started doing some running as his recovery work continues. On Liverpool: "Every day Mike the cook has been telling the players and me how important the Liverpool game is! I like that as it shows that it is a very particular match, especially for the fans of Manchester United. It also helps us to concentrate on this match. I want to win against them again. It's very important. I think every player knows the importance of this game. We are in a very crucial stage and cannot lose. I was happy with the performance v Spurs and if we can show the same vs Liverpool, then I think we have moved forward." On Ryan Giggs: "I have Ryan Giggs to tell importance of that (Liverpool) to the players and me in his presentation. I like that because it shows it is a very particular match for the fans, it helps to focus on concentrate." On A Winter Break/No English Teams Left In Europe: I have to go back to the Christmas fixtures, the world is changing, it isn't the same as 20 years ago, 20 years ago the Premier League was created and now the other countries are developing but they have always a winter break,we play 4 games in 2 weeks. Bayern Munich are much fresher than players of Arsenal and Chelsea. Players need rest." |

Gaal is beginning to sound like someone who is under pressure. He's now trying to sound like someone who listen and is flexible. |

but seriously I like dat LVG listens to both d fans n players ...We know how arrogant he can be at times but I believe he has matured enough to know dat others can help... ...As for Falcao crying about not getting enough chances to play ,he should remember dat he was given d opportunity to impress but he blew it up ,n I personally think dat we shouldn't consider spending cash on him dis summer ,we should get sm1 younger |

elampiro:Don't mind LvG jawe! After the Arsenal match he realised he only had qualifying for the CL as a target and if he failed in that it would be a disaster. The players must have been disappointed and had a tet a tet where they explained what they were comfy with and he(LVG) decided to give it a try, hence the wonderful game against spurs. He has now realised that he needs to be flexible in his approach. It would be hard for him to admit he was high handed. Anyways, let the resurgence continue against Liverpool. This just my opinion of what I think must have happened. |

Looking at the last match of Liverpool against Swansea, I'm still confident that they can't and won't beat us... At worst a draw which me won't settle for. Let's win this once and for all but the selection matters! |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 11:53am On Mar 21, 2015 |
royale442:Let Mata start. Di Maria as super sub if the plan doesn't work out. We saw how Swansea almost killed Liverpool with possessive football in the first half of their Monday night fixture. If they had quality like United they would have ended that match in the first half. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 11:57am On Mar 21, 2015 |
adebayo201:I think many teams are already tired because they have been using the same players ever since which gave them a good shape. But now it's telling on their bodies. Meanwhile, some of our guys are very fresh. Mata, carrick and Herrera should be able to give us a good run in. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 12:03pm On Mar 21, 2015 |
A team like Man City will suffer because of the average age of their players. And Yaya Toure is tired from playing in the Africa January heat. Arsenal can afford to rotate their team and still have a good shape. I can't say same for Liverpool, Tottenham and Southampton. Even Chelsea sef. |

coogar:I still get one leg with Moyes. I just want him to do well for himself. It's good he is getting better week after week and he picked a precious away win on Monday night with a good football game to cap as reported. |
