For me, I never take them seriously because one of them actually predicted in the light of Barca's FIFA ban, that Barca would have no chance against Madrid either in the league or in Europe until at least 2016 when Barca could begin to sign players again. But it's obvious now that that journalist goofed big time. So take my heed, ignore goal.com and their penchant to sing the glories of any team that's on top of their game, forgetting that class is the only thing permanent in football!

I read there articles when I have nothing better to do. Though I still do have a feeling that there are more Madrid aligned analyst there than there are Barça's. Most of them had a field day in early January when Barca was engulfed in an institutional turmoil

Ben Haywards is their Spanish editor. He bashes Barça too but there are no sane analyst who knew his job, who would criticise Messi on the night against City. Dude put on an absolute sumptuous performance. Everyone was impressed, even Marca!

Peter Staunton and Kris Voakes are better analysts though.

maybe that's because even when Messi misses a million chances he still gets a 10/10 rating. He still makes man of the match, delivering a breathtaking performance. But Ronaldo? When he misses chances, he does nothing else! He's useless.

i am not trying to be mischievous but i do watch a lot of real madrid's games.
-when a player strikes a shot on goal and it deflects off another player, its an assist but not an assist.
-when a player goes for goal by himself and the ball strikes the post and falls for another player, its an assist but not an assist.
-when a player plays a side ways pass all time time, its an assist but not an assist.

whats an assist anyway? there's a very big difference between giving an assist and having a spectacular performance. you can even give an assist and still be useless in a match. so when ronaldo misses chances, but gives an assist that does not make him a joy to watch like messi. 90% of the world know ronaldo is just a goal machine and nothing else. at least i give him that props! what is assist? i could name 10 players off the top of my head that are more skilful than ronaldo; messi, iniesta, neymar, hazard, reues, robben, de maria, modric, et al et al. these players can light up a game and make you not want your money back.
