just like predicted 15.4% would have being lost since it closed at 15.3% that means 15.2 % was a nice bid

What a good gamble, Whaooo....I didn't lose out on both though, I got my 182days smiley. I wasn't too comfy with the 364 days though, seems too long of a time to lock down my cash. Very happy I didn't put all my eggs in one basket. Will add the gains to my capital & reinvest next week.
BTW, according to the chart I attached, does it mean an auction take place next week?

ummitoagirl:
I did 15.40% for 364 days & 14.50% for 182 days...
fingers crossed!...

Just got a notification that my auction at 15.85 was not successful. Never indicated any stop rate since it was not in the form I filled. I'm so sad right now, waited for 2 weeks and now, it's another awful story.

Which bank was it? Me think this must be FBN. What were they thinking? To rob CBN?

Hmmn...@ummitoagirl
I guess it depends on when this schedule was prepared,my calculated guess is that it will take place next week to accomodate both the election weekend of the 28th and Easter weekend starting from the 3rd of April. Moreover, the volumes that will be available on maturity next week does not look so much.
Could be worth the try for those who missed out on this week's bid though, keep your fingers crossed...

ummitoagirl:
Does this mean treasury bills would be sold next week as well?

When you receive inflows ( incoming wires) from outside the country do you know if they scrape off correspondent fees?

In the past they didn't, but the bank has been going through so many issues (lost it's original luster), Plus with so many of the CBN changes not sure (RTGS Charges now N700).
In the past have had issues with EURO & GBP, but for most part USD was OK. Word of advice/caution, if you do not already have accounts with them, their fees for operating your accounts are much higher over all then other banks (just my opinion over last 9+ years).
I will ask my account officer.

Spoke with account officer, no charges for inflow (incoming wires). For outgoing, charge is $36 (USD) + 0.5% of total amount.

Hope that was helpful,
Cheers

So so in love with this thread!!! I must say a big thank you to you all who are taking your time to explain every detail about this investment vehicle. I've got some questions that need urgent replies, if you guys don't mind.
1. Assuming I decides now to invest N100,000 at an interest rate of %10 for 91 days, how would I calculate my profit after maturity?
2. With the above principal and rate, how would I calculAte my profit for 186 days and 364 days?
3. At the end of maturity date, what should I do to get back my principal, after receiving the profit upfront?
4. Please, does First Bank accept a minimum of N100,000 and what are the possible charges accrued to Tb's?

Thank you all in anticipation. Please gurus in this thread should help out!

It'll help if you actually read the thread, your questions have been answered plenty times.

Rates are always calculated per annum, regardless of the period of the investment. 10% on 91 days should be divided by 4, which translates to 2.5%. Same with 182, divide by 2.

You don't need to do anything to get back your principal; it automatically drops back into your account at the end of the tenor, unless you specifically instructed your bank to roll it over, in which case it'll be reinvested for the new going rate - whatever it is.

Yes, First Bank accepts 100k, ask your bank rep for more details.

My guy u try well well!! Thank you for that. But no vex ooo, for dis ur maths wey u solve here so eeh, if 91 days should be divided by 4; and 186 days divided by 2. What then will divided 364 days to get my true earning?
After the the principal has been debited from my account, do I have to be crediting #10,00 every month till the maturity period? Cos I don dey hear some kind gist for my area so ooo!

the 10% should be divided by 4 because 91 days is 365 days divided by 4.

x% for 182 days is x% divided by 2 because 182 is 365 days divided by 2

I don't understand your question. Once your principal is debited, all that's left is the interest paid up front. Once the tenor ends, you get back your principal. Ah, please read the thread. This is treasury bills, not fixed deposit.
