Solomon was a king. During his time women were treated as properties while men were treated as persons. So he owned lots of women just as he owned properties. During his time men could just divorce and remarry as they wish. Jesus made it clear, men and women were created equally And he never encouraged polygamy never for once did he say men can marry as many as they wish.

I wouldnt be with a man who believes in polygamy. So your fantasy is an error. You have not answered my questions. Jesus spoke against polygamy by condemning adultery. Any man who claims to be a christian and wants to practise polygamy will commit adultery numerous times depending on the number of wives he has. Have you wondered why nobody in jesus' time practised polygamy? Have you wondered why a lot of things in the old testament were no longer practised by christians?

A lot of subjective comments here. That tells you how daft , greedy and unreasonable most humans are. You say men are polygamous in nature, yet you fail to reason how only one man can equally satisfy 2,3 or more women physically and emotionally. You try to delude yourself by thinking all women (wives from polygamous homes in particular) are faithful to their husbands. I wish africa was technologically advanced like other continents, you'll be shocked to know how many men are unknowingly fathering another man's child. People keep using the bible to support polygamy with stories of solomon and david. They didn't read the part where david's greed led him to have sex with another man's wife who took in for him. Supposing she had kept quiet about her pregnancy and succeeded in sleeping with her husband during that period, her own husband would have fathered david's own child. That would have been a good thing abi? Ofcourse she spoke out and the greedy king saw it fit to end her husband's life- Good decision made by a man of God abi? A polygamist will commit adultery many times for each time he wants to bring another woman. Paul being an apostle of christ, kicked against it by encouraging monogamy in 1st corinthians 7 verse 1. That portion is self explanatory. Apart from that, adulterers, fornicators, e.t.c will have no place in the Kingdom of God: Galatians 5 vs 19-21. If you dnt believe all these as its stated in the bible then it means you are against what the bible says.
