Ask Me Any Question(s) About AMORC And Other Esoteric Organisations In Nigeria by Nobody: 9:11pm On Mar 29, 2015
Greetings fellow nairalanders,

I have created this thread to achieve a lot of purposes. Firstly, I am more concerned with the mediocrity of Nigerians and especially Nairalanders concerning the true aims, objectives and nature of esoteric organisations in Nigeria. One of the most frequently criticised one is AMORC (Ancient Mystical Order Rosae Crucis) which I am a very proud member of. I have seen so many nairaland threads on this organisation and my findings are that most people speculate too much about AMORC and other allied mystical, mystery and esoteric schools. Hence, I want to use this medium to enlighten everyone that seeks to be so enlightened about the real nature of AMORC. I will be as objective as possible and my affiliations will not cloud my statement of the truth no matter how it is perceived by anyone. SO I suggest that you ask ANY mind boggling question or misconceived notions that need address or even state your experiences that need interpretations. Meanwhile, if you are not here to actualise the purpose of this thread, I suggest that you simply ignore and move on. Dont come here and sell out your fanaticism and ignorance by asserting bunkums.

With best wishes for Peace Profound,
Frater Mathy.

Nice Biblical quote. However, I do not understand its import and appropriateness to this thread. smiley

I take that as a joke. If by head you mean human beings then AMORC is the wrong organisation to ask such a question. AMORC will not even advise you to kill a cockroach because they are part of the Cosmic and are as important in the grand scheme as humans. Animals that must be eaten for sustenance must be made to suffer less by avoiding unnecessary torture to such animal. That's the AMORC perspective.

AMORC has a whole lot of doctrines that cannot be summarised easily. However, at the centre of AMORC'S belief is the view that there is God. Secondly, that there is a relationship between God and man which manifests in the form oof mystical/spiritual experiences. Thirdly, that man should aspire for earthly perfection and transcend to the Cosmic. Other than the basics, AMORC believes in reincarnation, karma, and certain Mystical experiences such as telepathy, telekinesis, psychic projection, etc etc. These experiences are learnt carefully by the student. To sum up, AMORC is like a university of LIFE where virtually EVERYTHING is taught from philosophy, mysticism, science, arts, law and even medicine. Students pay certain amounts as dues and progress from one degree to another as they read and apply their studies. As for sacred items, the only ones I know are white candles, incense and a Rosicrucian cross. These are not compulsory and are used mainly for symbolic purposes.

Members enjoy good health mainly due to the therapeutic benefits of meditation.
Members enjoy contentment because AMORC teaches that everyone's station in life, whether good or bad, is for a reason and once that reason is known, members can aspire for better things.
Members enjoy a good intellectual state (intelligence). AMORC teachings are vast and covers all aspects of knowledge and because of that members tend to be very sound academically and intellectually.
Members are emotionally and psychologically stable in all spheres of life.
Members understand the reason for virtually everything that occurs.
The benefits are numerous and can only be experienced. All members have their testimonies which are unique to individuals.

However, as opposed to urban legend, AMORC doesn't give members wealth or 'theatrical powers'. Members who are wealthy upon affiliation may just be coincidental or maybe involved in other things apart from AMORC. However, AMORC teaches members some practical exercises and lifestyle changes that may encourage the attraction and management of wealth but this is by no means magical.

INTERESTED!... few questions for starters..

1. Can a Muslim practice these teachings
2. Just how closely related is the AMORC to the AMO(Martinist Order).
3. And how related is the AMORC to the OTO (Ordo Templis Orientis).

Thanks, as I anticipate your response.

AMORC has no obvious relationship with grail message other than that they are both philosophical groups. Meanwhile I've gone through the Grail message literature and they are not contrary to AMORC beliefs so I believe that they can work together.

We are always in the end time. wink. The uncertainty of our life and our existence constitutes an impending sense of doom that transforms to paranoia and extremism when religion is brought in contact with it. That is your present dilemma .

AMORC frequently makes reference to the holy Bible always. However, it is important to note that AMORC is not sectarian. This means that we are neither wholly christianly or Islamic or otherwise. All religions have their places in AMORC. The truth, however, is that 70% of AMORC members are Christians.

That is just an urban myth created by Nigerian home movies and superstitions. AMORC has nothing whatsoever to do with blood rituals in any way. I've been a member for years now and if that is so then I should be the richest boy in my block but sadly that is not so. I'm just the normal guy you see who's trying to make it big.

AMORC is PERFECTLY compatible with ISLAM.
AMORC has its own branch of martinism known as T. M. O (Traditional Martinist Order) which is more like a form of Christian mysticism. It is optional for members though and treated as a separate order.
The founder of O. T. O, Aleister Crowley, was a friend of AMORC'S former imperator, H. Spencer Lewis. However, O. T. O is a magical organisation and AMORC frowns on practical and ceremonial magic.

It is like joining a new University. Filled with promise, the zeal to study and master oneself and the overwhelming feeling that one is a student.

Then simply do. Things like this cannot be grappled by every mind. That is why the mediocre mind is quick to debase, castigate and throw invectives. However, there is always the option of 'waka pass'.
