The principle seems good. However in many cases a guy and gal have a one night stand and in the morning (for MANY different possible reasons) the girls regrets her actions and cries rape. How can the guy defend himself. Once he is executed it is too late to say sorry she changed her story or we made a mistake etc.

I also feel that due to the MANY cases ALL OVER THE WORLD of miscarriages of justice being uncovered many years later that the death penalty is not an appropriate punishment. I do realise it is used in Naija (and quite a few other countries) but in this day and age should be phased out everywhere.

Sai Buhari should do something about the very high incidence of rape and ritual in the SWest region. It is getting alarming.
