Twitter User, Shunvilla asks Osun Police:

I need an answer, is it normal for police to enter any street and start picking people without any offense and put them in cell?
This thing has been happening since a week ago, around agunbelewo, okini, old garage.
Is it because of new commissioner? Please we need to know.

Lol.
What kind of question are you asking us?
Is this not a few weeks to Xmas?
How else do expect police to raise funds for their Xmas monies?
After all, Police is your Fiend.

It's normal in Nigeria.

It is normal in the south because the people over there are not normal and irrational beings.

It's not normal in the north because the people over there are normal people that behave rational.

Yes all Yahoo boys and criminals must be purged. 99 out of 100 Igbos are criminals. 95 out of 100 afonjas are skull miners and criminals . In fact 99 out of 100 Nigerians are criminals. So yes it is right to arrest any Nigerian u see on the road. Say no to crime. Don't allow a Nigerian into your country if you want to develop

Probably a crime was committed in the area and investigation is on going, but trust the Nigerian police to cash out from the situation

Yes o, it happens honestly.

Dah year almost arrested my friend who was just 14yrs old, stating that he had drugs sad

We were all quizzed about it, no drugs was found on him neither was any of us having any drugs, next thing we saw was the police officer dipping his hands into his own pocket and bringing out a lighter and some weed, then he turned the table and alleged us all that we were the culprit and owners of the weed. We were like ahhh!!! Officer !! Please Sir, we're innocent nah what is all these... The man threatened to make us sleep in a cell cry ...... Long story short, we were saved by the then councilor. He was passing by with is entourage and he saw the police man interrogating us and how we were pleading and he came to our aid.

Yes....
Police can arrest yhu on SUSPICION....
That's why they can easily arrest yhu on the highways without commiting an offence....
Buh to search yhur house for whatever reason, they'd need a warrant.
