There is no reason why Nigeria should continue being a united country when we now place ethnic interests over competence and performance. The yorubas have supported with the hausas to return to the status quo of their born to rule. I don't expect any democracy dividend from a buhari presidency for the masses because Buhari didn't even present a manifesto. All he did was sell his ethnicity to his north while the yorubas did for their region.
Jonathan has done more for the north than any president from the north and yet tribalism defeated him. I want to ask all igbos to boycott this government and prepare for the next election with awareness and tribalism. Igbos should make sure that they are not shortchanged in the upcoming census. There is no reason why katsina should have more population than Anambra.

Enough said!
You need Always sanitary pad..........

Jonathan was not the president when Boko Haram leader was killed. Almajiri schools, roads, Agriculture were some of the things jonathan did for this ungrateful northerners, now tell me what any northern president did for his people apart from grossly enriching themselves.
But you support the north and south west when wanted to impose Ngige on Anambra. Is Obiano not working?

What has Ngige done for his people as a senator?

And the SS voted based on the same Tribalism.
Do you expect a region ravaged by wars for four years to Vote GEJ.
Which war? War started by gej?

I just laugh at most. U think a war with ND at this moment is not a big deal
When they fought d Almighty obj and yaradua dey ended up winning (amnesty/govt attention) u think gej emergence as VP was just lyk DAT .
Apart d fact DAT d economy will completely shut down when these militant will burst and sell oil in black market to reenforce
Nigeria will be push to d breaking point
Sincerely m a Yoruba but these pple is still indispensable till our economy is diversified
Oil went into recession aregbe has not paid 5mnths salary we just entered into d sixth month today
Tell me who will produce d oil whenanother crisis ensued
Let's stop encouraging war
Peace is key
I don't blame d igbos and I jaw for not been happy

History shows they are always been sidelined
And for 100yrs they can't boast of 10yrs as d leader of dis country
You are very realistic. For me, the Niger-delta is a crucial factor in Nigeria.

Many Nigerians are fooling themselves. If there is no Niger delta, will there be a Nigeria?

Many people feel that the oil of niger-delta is good but to lead Nigeria, hell no!!!!!!

You are right.

We degrade the northerners and call them unprintable names but they are the most politically enlightened stock.

Kano and katsina votes alone gave GMB this victory, all other votes just cancelled themselves out.

The unfortunate thing is a Fulani will now preside over next years fraudulent census which is a basis for political/voting power and distribution of our commonwealth
You know that some people are ignorant. They think that it is all about corruption.

The truth is that a lot things will take place between 2015 and 2019. Palestine bid for statehood, census, oil-block bid, constitution amendment, etc.
Re: Buhari's Presidency: Tribalism Wins Competence by dafuturis(m):

Let's be sincere, the north voted buhari because he was their own,not because he had any better programme that GEJ.
The west voted Buhari simply because of the Osibanjo/Tinubu factor. Afterall, buhari has been contesting since, why didn't they recognise him as the change all this while.
I ask an ardent yoruba Apc supporter if he would have been clamouring for this change if Buhari had chosen Rochas or Ngige as running mate,he never answered.
Its all tribal.
Last note: let's pray that Apc learns from GEJ and provide a level electoral playing field to vote them out when they fail to perform(though I doubt).
Was northern Nigerian in a different country when Buhari lost the elections in 2003, 2007 and 2011?
If not, where was there votes going to?

If the SW voted for Buhari because of Osinbajo/Tinubu why did they vote for Jonathan and Sambo in 2011?

Am a Niger deltan, I tell you the Igbos are the most bias tribe in Nigeria. You people has refused to understand the politics of the country hence is fast becoming politically irrelevant. If you play your cards well you'll surely have a go at the presidency but no you won't.

Okorocha tried his best and is still working intelligently, I pray he remain steadfast in his pursuit of igbo political relevance.
Re: Buhari's Presidency: Tribalism Wins Competence by Boss13: 9:27pm On Apr 01, 2015
Reading the comments here shows how unfair and insincere people can be. Jonathan still remains the most incompetent president nigeria has and I pray he is the last of them all.

Never in this country have I seen a more sectional president than jonathan. Why should the north vote for him and why should nigerians vote for him. I believe we have written the many sins of jonathan, I do not want to go over them again. I'm tired of him, his wife, his selfish aides, his above the law advisers. They can all gloat but good riddance to bad rubbish.

Abeg forget the Igbo people, a few coins and they all align themselves. I'm ashamed of them and ashamed for them. They have lost political relevance.

I wish they can get it right, them getting it right would go a long way in sealing our unity as a country. We SS don't value them as much as they value us, that's a hidden truth.

If the ND militants decide to take up arms against Buhari government and the people of bayelsa, rivers and creek decide to buy into the militants idea, killing security men and destroying government property while the masses In shield them, there is nothing much Buhari government can do except he intend to declare full war and wipe the entire region.

Like I said here sometime ago, Obama was not there when bomb went off in Boston, but a citizen reported to the security men after seeing the the act on CCTV. Use your head son, to the north they could not deal with a minority president. The propaganda worked, couple with the fact Jonathan refuse to handover the country to OBJ and some cabals which are his greatest undoing.

@freeaGlobe, get over it, your man lost accept defeat and move on.
The problem is that you guys are stuck in 1968, which will be your greatest downfall.

The real winners in this chapter of Nigerian politics is the north. From now until Jesus returns, only a northern candidate can win elections in north and south. Let us watch and see where the do me , I do you will get the south will land the south.
Now the PDP must look for suitable northerners to give the Presidential ticket and VP from SS or SE. I see the old alliances of the 1960s as the new way forward for Nigerian politics. None of us in this generation will see a southern president again. Remember I was the first to say this.

You actually bought those lies? mi mi!! i think you need Pampers, whatever Buhari decide for the Igbos, is their business, except there are Igbos in APC, below is the score card of President Jonathan in Igbo land, with over 90% votes in 2011, yet they refused to wake up, a man who has a death wish cannot change his mind because he heard regge music.

No time for crying like a baby and calling people names for the very things you are guilty of.

Jonathan is a failed president, the south south and east voted him base on tribe, how dare you come around to accuse the north of returning the favour. On the same forum we warned you tribal war lords that Jonathan should act decisively with book haram, you all said its north killing north. we told you then the job of the president is to protect all Nigerians to the last almajiri in the north, you said we are fools. how can you expect those same people to vote Jonathan, that is a foolish expectation.

you even said the east should be told to practice tribal politics, please don't make me laugh. as the east ever practice any type of politics apart from tribal politics.

The east is no better than the north in tribal politics, tribalism runs in all of you.

shallom
The SE has voted people from different regions since 1999.
So which tribal politics are you talking about.
They even voted against there beloveth ojukwu

People like me who understand the real situation on ground will never be scared of the militants, do you know that those guys don't have upto a thousand fighters, the Bogos Amnesty list was a conduit pipe for cucu, Orubebe and co, which the militants have cofessed to.

Whether Nigerian navy failed "yes" woefully, but do they have the capacity to tame the militants? "YES". The overall reason is corruption.
with a corrupt free military, believe me, Asari will become a floating ash.

In as much as there are elements of truth in your presumption ,at this point in time what really matters most is that power is gradually returning to the people and once that ugly status quo has been defeated completely and removed from our national politics . I can categorically tell you that it would get to a point where the better candidate will always carry the day irrespective of his region, religion and creed.

We should all at all time support any Government till they are found wanting and of course kick them out at the slightest sign of any high-handedness .Wether these my assumptions would come to pass, only time shall tell but the truth remains that the people are greater winner in this last election and not always the carry-go mentality and all thanks and praises should go to a true democrat who gave us a gift that use to be a wishful thinking.

Once again , I doff my hat for Goodluck Ebelemi Jonathan the true democrat who has changed the political landscape of our dear country forever.
You r a boss

Now listen up Igbo guy, there is basically no difference in intentions between your biafra and what we have in play now..infact it would have been alot worse in your Biafra.

Allow me to remind you that Ojukwu tried to perpetuate grave wickedness on Ikwerres when he brought trucks and attempted to relocate us en masse into Igbo hinterlands and then transfer igbos into the rich oilfields where we now situate.

His intentions for us has never been of good..You cannot force a people to become part of you..after renaming our towns and villages, we reversed back to the original names after your war..

Im not in the mood for any kind of engagement, so in advance i want you to know i will not reply you after this.
